    Following an illness of 12 weeks, Andrew Bast, 85, of Wellesley, died last week at K-W Hospital. Born Jan. 12, 1871, in Wellesley Township, he was a farmer and lifelong resident of the district. He was a member of the Maple View Amish Wellesley. Mennonite Church
    His wife, the former Elizabeth Schultz, predeceased him in 1946. Their marriage took place in Wellesley in 1900 Surviving are three sons, George of Britton, Samuel of Wellesley, Elvy of Milbank: six daughters, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Erb of Milbank, Mrs. Samuel (Emma) Lebold of Milverton, Mrs. Daniel (Lura) Wilker of RR 1, Britton, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Gerber of Wellesley, Mrs. Emanuel (Clare) Zehr of Milverton and Mrs. Elmer (Vera) Erb of Wellesley; two brothers, Mose of Wellesley and Rudolph of Crosshill, four sisters Mrs. John Jantzi and Mrs. David Brunk of Wellesley, Mrs. Mose Roth and Mrs. David Miller of Baden, 38 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 27, in charge of Glenn Zehr and David K. Jantzi; interment in Riverdale Mennonite Cemetery.

    ERB, Mrs. Mary on Friday, Nov. 24, 1989, at RECU of Stratford General Hospital, Mary Erb, of 6 James St., Milverton. She was born in Wellesley township 88 years ago, a daughter of the late Andrew Bast and the former Elizabeth Schultz. She was a member of the Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank, where she was a member of the WMSC. She had been a member of the Happy Hollow Helpers, Milverton. Beloved wife of Michael B. Erb, who predeceased her October 20, 1987. Dear mother of three sons, Nelson and Leona, Elmer and Adeline, Lloyd and Lauren, all of Millbank; six daughters, Anna Mae and Allen Gascho of Newton, Lorene and Lowell Shantz of RR 2, Walkerton, Norma and Harold Zehr of Attica, Mich., Eileen and Ralph Lebold of Waterloo, Florence and David Gascho of RR 1, Milverton, Eva and Wes MacKinnon of RR 1, Mount Bridges; one daughter-in-law, Ruby Erb of RR 1, Milverton. Lovingly remembered by three sisters, Emma (Mrs. Sam Lebold) of Milverton, Clara (Mrs. Emanual Zehr) of Poole, Vera (Mrs. Elmer Erb) of Wellesley. Sadly missed by 32 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. Mary was predeceased by one son Lorne, February 5, 1988; one daughter Edna in infancy; two sisters, Eliz-abeth (Mrs. John Gerber), Laura (Mrs. Dan Wilker); three brothers, George. Sam and Elvy and one great-granddaughter. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 9 Pacific Ave., Milverton, after 7 p.m. tonight (Saturday) and until Monday, Nov. 27, 1989 at noon, when transfer will be made to Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank, for the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Glen Zehr and Pastor David Jantzi officiating.     She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; predeceased by one son Lloyd and one brother.

    Friends may call at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon Tuesday, when removal will be made to the Mapleview Mennonite Church for the service at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Alvin Leis and Rev. Jacob Roes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

    He was well-known in Millbank and area as a farm implement dealer and had owned and operated Millbank Farm Service for many years.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth (Lizzie) Schultz; one son, Ralph, of Elmira; one daughter, Mrs. Irwin (Betty) Steckly, of 71 Windemere Cres., Stratford; four grandsons, Dean and Rand Bast, and Steven and Richard Steckly; also five sisters, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Erb and Mrs. Sam (Emma) Lebold, both of Milverton, Mrs. Dan (Laura) Wilker, of RR 4 Listowel, Mrs. Emanuel (Clara) Zehr, of Poole, and Mrs. Elmer (Vera) Erb, of Wellesley. He was predeceased by two brothers, George and Sam, and one sister, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Gerber.
