Mrs. Joseph B. Jantzi The death occurred at Newton on Monday, Oct. 18th, of Mattie Boshart, widow of the late Joseph B. Jantzi, of East Zorra, and mother of Mr. Jonas B. Jantzi, of New Hamburg, in her 79th year. The remains were brought to her late home on the 18th line of East Zorra, from where the funeral was held yesterday afternoon to the 1Gth line Mennonite Church and Cemetery, and was largely attended. The deceased was well known and highly esteemed in the community. Her husband and three sons, Joseph B., Rudy and Michael B., predeceased her. She leaves one son and six daughters to mourn her demise.

Following an illness of four days, Christian R. Boshart, Wilmot Centre, passed away on Monday, October 15, 1934 at the home of his son. Mr. Boshart, who was predeceased by his wife 19 years ago, was in his 84^th year. Surviving are one son, Noah, one daughter, Mrs. Gordon Hartung, Phillipsburg, and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon with private services at the home at 1 o'clock and thence to Steinman's A.M. Church at Baden for public services at 2: 30. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Joseph Jantzi, 91, of the Maples Nursing Home, Tavistock, died on Monday of last week.

She was the former Nancy Boshart, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Boshart. Born May 12, 1878, she was a member of the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line.

Surviving are a grandson, Gordon Jantzi, Waterloo, and two great-grandchildren. She was the last member of her family.

Jantzi.-Rudy B. Yantzi was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., Dec. 2, 1867; died at his home in Oxford Co., Ont., June 11, 1926; aged 58 y. 6 m. 9 d. He grew to manhood at his father's home in Waterloo Co., till about the year 1892, when the family moved to the state of Minnesota where they lived till about 1912, when they moved back to Canada on the farm where he died. In her youth she united with the Wellesley A.M. Church. At the age of 16 she moved with her parents to Wilmont, Minn. On Dec. 24, 1905, at Goshen, Ind., she was united in marriage to Jacob B. Yutzi, who predeceased her in death on Jan. 28, 1921. In November, 1910 they moved to Huron Co., Mich. To this union were born 2 children (Joseph and Esther). In April, 1928 she was united in marriage to Solomon Kropp, who survives. Also surviving are her 2 children (Joseph, Birmingham, Mich.; and Esther, Detroit, Mich.), one grandson, one stepson (Solomon Kropp, Jr.), 4 stepgrandchildren, 4 sisters (Mrs. Fannie Gerber, Millbank, Ont.; Mrs. Mary Knepfer, Newton, Ont.; Mrs. Aaron Helmuth, Tavistock, Ont.; and Mrs. David Miller, Goshen, Ind.) and one brother (Jonas B. Jantzi, New Hamburg, Ont.). She was a member of the Pigeon River A.M. congregation at the time of her death. Funeral services were held May 24, in charge of Raymond Byler, at the home, and Earl Maust and Emanuel Swartzendruber, at the church. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.

MILLBANK - A native of East Zorra township, Mrs. Annie Erb, 75, of Millbank, died Wednesday at the home of her son, Michael, RR 1, Millbank. A daughter of the late Jacob Boshart and Marie Jantzi, she was a member of Cedargrove Amish Mennonite Church, third line of Wellesley Township. Her husband, Menno, to whom she was married Dec. 15, 1898, in Wilmot Township, died in 1954. Survivors include four sons, Michael of RR 1, Millbank, Ezra of Millbank, Aaron and Eli of Lowville, N.Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Ezra (Fannie) Jantzi of Wellesley; one brother, Michael of Wellesley; seven sisters, Mrs. Aaron Jantzi, Mrs. Christian Roth and Mrs. Moses Bast of Wellesley, Mrs. John Albrecht and Mrs. Marie Steckley of Millbank, Mrs. Joseph Lebold of Milverton and Mrs. Peter Lather of Heidelberg; 43 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The body is at the home of her son Michael where a service will be conducted Sunday at 1: 30 p.m. Memorial service will be conducted by Bishop Samuel Roth at Cedargrove church Sunday at 2: 30 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

The body is at the Solomon Kuepfer home, Millbank, where the funeral will be conducted at 12: 30 p.m. Wednesday. Bu-dal will be in the Amish Mennonite Cemetery, Concession 7, Wellesley. Bishop Amos Albrecht will officiate.

BOSHART, Noah S. -- On Thursday, July 10, 1986, at People Care Centre, Tavistock, Noah Boshart, age 97, formerly of Wilmot Centre. He was a member of Steinman Mennonite Church, RR 2, Baden and enjoyed many years serving the public in his plumbing and repair business. Beloved husband of the former Victoria Wagler who predeceased him November 21, 1971; dear father of Dorothy Boshart of Wellesley, Orlin of Wellesley, Elroy and his wife Willetta of New Hamburg, Verna of RR 2, Baden, Melvin and Bertha Boshart of New Hamburg. Also survived by several nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, the late Christian Boshart and Maria Schwartzentruber, one sister Mrs. Veronica Hartung and one grandchild, Joan. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., after 7 p.m. this evening and until noon Sunday, July 13, when transfer will be made to Steinman Mennonite Church for service at 3 p.m., with Pastor Fred Lichti officiating. Henry Boshart died on Monday, July 6, 1987. He was born in Wilmot Township 86 years ago and farmed in that area before moving to Waterloo. He was employed with Kaufman Lumber until retirement and was a member of Erb Street Mennonite Church, Waterloo. He was the son of the late David R. Boshart and Mary Schumm. Henry is survived by his children, Viola and her husband Neil Kavelman, Bertha and her husband Robert Veitch, and Audrey and her husband Victor Gingerich. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Ada Kennel, two sons, Edward and Stanley, one brother and two sisters. Interment will be at the Erb Street Mennonite Church Cemetery.

On Sunday, March 3, 1991, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Salome Litwiller, of RR 2, Petersburg.
She was born in Wilmot township 95 years ago, a daughter of the late John Gascho and the former Mary Schultz. She was a member of the Steinmann Mennonite Church, RR 2, Baden, where she was a member of the WMSC. She enjoyed needlework and quilting. She was a lifelong resident of Wilmot township. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Beloved wife of Elmer, Litwiller who predeceased her September 13, 1984. Lovingly remembered by one son, Earl and his wife Mary of RR 2, Petersburg. Dear grandmother of Duane Litwiller and his wife Susan of RR 2, Petersburg, Sheryl and her husband Albert Crabbe of Baden. Fondly remembered by five great-grandchildren, Gregory and Kara Litwiller, Jacqueline, Victoria and Suzanne Crabbe and four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mabel (Daniel) Gascho of Kitchener, Mrs. Ida (Norman) Gascho of New Hamburg, Mrs. Louise (William) Litwiller of Lowville, N.Y. and Elmeda and her husband Henry Bechler of Pigeon, Mich.

ERB, Michael B. - On Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1987, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Michael Erb, of 6 James St., Milverton.

He had farmed near Millbank prior to his retirement and was born in Wilmot township, 88 years ago, a son of the late Menno L. Erb and the former Annie Boshart. He was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank and a member of the Milverton Senior Citizens. Beloved husband of the former Mary Bast, whom he married December 11, 1924. Lovingly remembered by his children. Nelson and his wife Leona of Millbank, Anna Mae ,and her husband Allen Gascho of Newton, Lorne and his wife Ruby of RR 1 Milverton, Lorene and her husband Lowell Shantz of Hanover, Elmer and his wife Adeline of Millbank, Norma and her husband Harold Zehr of Attica, Mich., Eileen and her husband Ralph Lebold of Waterloo, Florence and her husband David Gascho of RR 1, Milverton, Eva and her friend Wes McKinnon of Mount Budges, Lloyd and his wife Laurene of Millbank; dear brother of Aaron of Lowville, N.Y. and Fanny Mrs. Ezra Jantzi) of Wellesley. Of Route 1, Linwood, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 1975, at the Listowel Memorial Hospital, she was the former Nancy Lebold, born in Wellesley Township 66 years ago, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Simon Lebold; dear mother of Elmer and Lloyd of Route 1, Linwood, Esther (Mrs. Aaron Zehr) and Laura (Mrs. Jonas Kuepfer), both of Route 1, Linwood, Marie (Mrs. Cornelius Kuepfer) of Route 1, Newton; dear sister of Mary (Mrs. Amos Albrecht), Elizabeth (Mrs. Joseph Albrecht), both of Route 1, Millbank, Rachel (Mrs. Mose Kuepfer) of Route 3, Wingham; also survived by 30 grandchildren; predeceased by her husband Christian S. Kuepfer on Oct. 7, 1974; also by one daughter and one sister.

Friends may call at the home of her son Lloyd Kuepfer, lot 18, concession 10, Mornington Township, where the funeral service will be conducted Friday, June 13, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the seventh line Amish Mennonite cemetery, Wellesley Township. Bishop Amos Albrecht officiating.

Ever remembered by her sisters, Matilda Frey of Waterloo and June Hackett of Waterloo. Sister-in- law of Nancy Bast of Wellesley. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband, Simon S. Zehr (September 19, 1975); by three brothers, Aaron, Hubert and Samuel Bast; also two sons, Lloyd (2000) and Irvin (1965); by three sisters, Rachel Gerber, Clara Gerber and Lucinda Bast and by brothers-in-law, Jacob Gerber, John Gerber. Hubert Frey, Emmerson Bast and Russel Hackett.

Visitation at the Futher Bros. Fu- neral Home, 1172 Henry St., Wellesley, where family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will be conducted at the Maple View Mennonite Church on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 2 p.m. Pastor Bruce Sawatsky will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Elmer S. Boshart of Haysville died at his home last Wednesday. He was 55. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Boshart.

He was employed at Canada Blower and Forge Co., Kitchener, and was a member of Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley.

He was predeceased by one daughter. Doris Ann.

BENDER, Daniel J. - Peacefully, on Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Daniel J. Bender of Nith View Home in New Hamburg and formerly of Wellesley. Dan was born in Kitchener 78 years ago. Son of the late John I. Bender and the late Mary Jantzi. He was a member of the Wellesley Mennonite Church and farmed near Kingwood, coming to Wellesley in 1966. He was also employed at the Grand River Hospital from 1968 to 1992.Beloved husband of the late Agnes L. (Roi) Bender, who predeceased him December 8, 2003. Dear father of Stan Bender and his friend Dana of Kitchener, Nancy and her husband Ray Haarsma of Petersburg, Steven and his wife Chris Bender of Wellesley, Carol and her husband Dan Soucy of Kitchener and Paul Bender of Wellesley. Loving brother of Selma and Nelson Roth of New Hamburg.
