SCHMITT, Mrs. Alfred (Ella) - On Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1988, at St. Mary's Hospital, aged 82 years, of RR 3, Waterloo, Ella Brown.

Beloved wife of Alfred Schmitt, for over 63 years; dear mother of Floyd and Ellen and Grace Downs and William, all of St. Jacobs, Ross and Marie of Kitchener, Yvonne Such and Gerald of Waterloo, Barbara Gumpert and Rolf of Branchton; loved grandmother of 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by four sisters and six brothers.

Visitation at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, where the family will receive their friends Thursday, 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Friday, transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs, for funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Everett Mossman officiating. Interment St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery, Erbaville.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.

SCHMITT, Ross William -- On January 31, 1990, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener. Dearly loved son of Alfred Schmitt of RR 3, Waterloo and the late Ella Schmitt. Branchton. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530, the K-W Naval Association and the Waterloo Masonic Lodge No. 539. BARBARA A. GUMPERT (SCHMITT)

At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 1990, after a lengthy illness, the former Barbara Ann Schmitt, of Flamborough township, age 46 years.

Barbara had been a manager with Bell Canada for 26 years until her retirement in 1989 due to ill health. She was a member of the Germania Club of Hamilton and affiliated with the Narrhalla Damen Efferat for 10 years.

Wife of Rolf; daughter of Alfred Schmitt of RR 3, Waterloo; mother of Heidi at home; sister of Floyd Schmitt and his wife Ellen and Grace and her husband William Downs, all of St. Jacobs, Yvonne and her husband Gerald Such of Waterloo. Sadly missed by 11 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Predeceased by her mother, Ella, in 1988 and one brother, Ross in 1990.

Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening (Tuesday) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, when removal will be made to St. James Lutheran Church on Thursday at 10: 30 a.m., where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., with Pastor Everett Mossman officiating. Interment will be in the Erbsville Lutheran cemetery.

On Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at his residence, Dennis Schmitt, in his 55^th year of St. Jacobs.

Beloved son of Floyd Schmitt of St. Jacobs and the late Ellen (Pike) Schmitt (September, 1999). Dear nephew of Grace Downs and Yvonne Such, both of Waterloo and Myrtle and Nelson Marschall [sic?] of Guelph.

Dennis will be missed by his many cousins and their families. Dennis was a longtime employee of Metzger's Egg Grading Station, Elmira.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Olaf Poulsen officiating. Spring interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg.
