IRVING, Margaret R. (Peggy)
Passed away, peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife and best friend for 51 years of the late George Irving (1999). Devoted and much loved mother of Pat Hoshoian and George and his wife Judy; cherished grandmother of Janine McNab and her husband Steven, Garnet Irving and his wife Tracey, Jason Irving, Darin Hoshoian, all of Cambridge and Stephanie Brand of Stoney Creek and Nicole Brand of Quebec; loving great-grandmother of Brogan and Georgia McNab and Zachary Irving; dear aunt of Joyce Elrick and her husband Lloyd of Cambridge. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, William and Annie (McNicoll) Murray; her sister, Anne Kay Murray; her brother, John (Jack) Murray and her sister-in-law, Maudie Murray. She graduated from Hamilton General Hospital as a registered nurse and worked at the old Galt Hospital, for many years, as well as doing private and industrial nursing in Galt. Margaret was an active and devoted member of Knox's (Galt) Presbyterian Church for 55 years, serving on many committees. She was also a past president of the Galt Kinette Club and a member of the Independent Order of the Daughters of the Empire (I.O.D.E.) Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hanning House for the excellent, loving care given to Mrs. Irving. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at 11 a.m., at Knox's (Galt) Presbyterian Church, Queen's Square, Cambridge, Rev. Wayne Dawes officiating. Cremation has taken place.
