    Kipfer. - Lena Kipfer (nee Albrecht) was born in Mornington, Perth Co., Ont., on Aug. 28, 1871; died Aug. 6, 1932; aged 61 y. 11 m. 22 d. On Jan. 11, 1893, she was united in marriage to Bro. Nicholas Kipfer who had preceded her 23 years. To this union were born 9 children, 1 son and 1 daughter having preceded her. She leaves 2 sons, 5 daughters, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers (1 sister having preceded her to the great beyond), and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services were conducted at the house by Bro. Mose O. Jantzi (Text, Matt. 24: 42), and at Steinmans Church by Bro. O.H. Steinman (Text, Jno. 5: 24-29) and Bro. Peter Nafzinger (Matt. 7: 13, 14).

    Kipfer.- Amos A., son of Nicklaus and Magdalena (Albrecht) Kipfer, was born at Milverton, Ont, Oct. 31, 1892; died on Sept. 17, 1989; aged 96. On Aug. 21, 1913, he was married to Rebecca Lichti, who died on Sept. 3, 1958. On Jan. 5, 1959, he was married to Vera Shantz, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons (Nelson, Amos, Melvin, and Joseph), 4 daughters (Laurane Erb, Reta Schmidt, Rebecca Bontrager, and Aurelia Beachy), 29 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, 7 great-greatgrandchildren, one brother (Cyranius), and 4 sisters (Laura Litwiller, Melinda Hostettler, Freda Zehr, and Gertrude Leis). He was a member of Tourist Mennonite Church, Sarasota, Fla., where a memorial service was held. Funeral services were held at Alden (N.Y.) Mennonite Church on Sept. 20 in charge of Tom Beachy and Jim Beachy, grandsons of the deceased; interment in the County Line Cemetery.

    KIPFER.--Amanda Kipfer was born in Milverton, Ont., Feb. 10, 1898; died at the General Hospital, Buffalo, N. Y., Nov. 4, 1930; aged 32 y. 9 m. 26 d. Her illness extended over several months, and at times her suffering was intense. She expressed a desire to leave this world if it were the Lord's will. She was united in marriage to Jacob Kipfer, Jan. 5, 1920, who with 2 sons are bereft of wife and mother. Besides these she leaves her mother, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters. Her father and 1 brother preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the Alden Mennonite Church by Bros. Dan Kauffman, and John Helmuth. Burial in County Line Cemetery. She left a testimony that all was well. May we prepare to meet her on the other side.

    Mrs. Jacob B. Kipfer
    We are sorry to report the death of Amanda Kipfer, beloved wife of Mr. Jacob K. [sic?] Kipfer, who passed away at Buffalo General Hospital on Nov. 4th at the age of 32 years. She had been ill in the hospital for the past three months. The deceased was a daughter of Mrs. Lena Kipfer of New Hamburg and was born at Milverton, the family moving to town after the death of her father.

    She was married ten years ago to her now bereaved husband and for the past six years resided at Alden, N. Y. She leaves her husband and two small sons to mourn her early demise. There are also left in bereavement her mother and five sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Lawrence Zehr of Alden, Mrs. Herbert Miller of Lockport, N.Y., Mrs. Henry Ortman, Welland, Ont., Mrs. Ed. Litwiller, New Hamburg and Amos Kipfer of Merilla, N.Y., and Zeranus Kipfer of Waterloo. The funeral took place in Alden on November 8.

    KIPFER, HAROLD W.

    At Mattawa General Hospital, on Monday, May 18, 1987, suddenly as the result of a heart attack, Harold Wilfred Kipfer, of 35 Rex Drive, Kitchener, aged 67 years.

    He had been employed as a foreman for Electrohome Limited, until his retirement in 1984, having been with Electrohome for 46 years.

    He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Electrohome Limited and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

    Husband of the former Elizabeth Rodina; son of Serenus of New Hamburg; father of Paul of Kitchener; brother of Wilbur of Mattawa, Walter of Wilmot Centre, Edward, Lester and Ray, all of Kitchener, Jim of Tonawanda, N.Y., Esther (Mrs. Ernie Hahn) and Marie (Mrs. Stanley Gingerich) both of New Hamburg.

    Five grandchildren also survive, Christopher, Michael, John, Anthony and Kelly.

    Predeceased by his mother, this year and two brothers, Robert and Charles.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening (Wednesday) where the Loyal Order of the Moose will have a service on Thursday evening at 8 p.m.

    Funeral service will be held from the chapel on Friday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Glenn Brubacher officiating.

    Interment will be in Memory Gardens cemetery.

    Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario may be made as expressions of sympathy.

    Passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Recently predeceased by his loving wife Marie Kipfer. Dear father of Randy (Cathy), Tim and Jason (Jacqui). Cherished grandfather of Joe, Jeff, Alannah and Max and great grandpa to Kayden and Kayla. Survived by his siblings Esther Haunn (the late Ernest), Marie Gingerich (Stanley) and Ray Kipfer (Mary). Predeceased by his parents Cyranius Kipfer and Lena Kipfer (nee Lichty) and siblings Harold Kipfer (Elizabeth), Wilber Kipfer (Gabrielle), Robert Kipfer, Walter Kipfer (Beatrice), Edward Kipfer (Jewell) and James Kipfer(Janet).

    Litwiller, Arthur, son of the late Ivan and Malinda (Kipfer) Litwiller, was born Nov. 1, 1922, at New Hamburg, Ont.; passed away at Sister's Hospital, Buffalo, N. Y., May 1, 1958; aged 35 y. 6 m. Death was the result of a truck accident. On Sept.1, 1946, he was married to Fanny Jantzi. He is survived by his wife, 5 children (Carl, Glen, Milford, Larry, and Nancy), his mother and stepfather (Jake Kipfer), one sister (Gertrude), and 2 stepbrothers (Clarence and Wallace). In his youth he accepted Christ as Saviour and united with the Alden Mennonite Church, of which he was a faithful, active member. He was serving as Sunday-school superintendent at the time of his death. Funeral services were held at the Alden Church in charge of David Beachy and Joe Miller. Interment in the County Line Cemetery.
