    DEATH OF GEORGE FACH

This week Death has claimed one of our most promising young citizens, in the person of George D. youngest son of Jacob and Catherine Fach. George had but recently obtained his diploma from the Galt Business College and two weeks ago secured the position of bookkeeper, for Clare Bros & Co. He was taken ill first on Thursday of last week, with peritonitis, but nothing serious was thought of it till Monday, when he gradually grew weaker and kept getting worse till death put an end to his suffering on Wednesday evening, at about 11.30 o'clock, at the early age of 17 years and 23 days. Deceased was well and most favorably known to all the younger folks of Preston. He was of a quiet, unobtrusive disposition, but a lad who once known, gained the respect and friendship of all with whom he came in contact. Speaking feelingly of his decease one of his late employers remarked that he had never employed a young man in whom he placed more reliance. He was a steady, honest worker and clever for the brief experience he had had. Great sympathy is expressed for Mr. and Mrs. Fach in their bereavement. Two years ago last, September, they lost another son, Louis Philip, who died of diptheria, at the age of 12 years.
