    Notes:

    Mrs. Rebecca Perrin, 77, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orval Knechtel. 52 Grenville Ave., after a lengthy illness. Born at Reidsville, Ont., she was the last surviving member of the family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Barton. Mrs. Perrin and her husband, the late Ervin Perrin who died in 1940, farmed at Roseville for many years. She came to live with her daughter four years ago.

    Surviving are six sons, Leslie, Ross, George, Robert and Charles. all of Roseville, and James of Bright; and one daughter, Mrs. Orval (Mary) Knechtel, Kitchener. Thirteen grandchildren also survive.

    The body is at the home of her son, Robert Perrin, Roseville where private funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. followed by public service at Roseville United Brethren Church at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Keith Nicholsan of New Dundee will officiate. Interment will be at Mount View Cemetery, Galt.

    Mrs. Catherine Brown Passes - Mrs. Catherine Brown, Piper St., Ayr, died Thursday at Coutts Pavilion, Kitchener, in her 67th year. She was the former Catherine Lillico, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lillico. She was born in Blenheim Township and had been a resident of Ayr and district all her life. She was a member of Knox United Church, Ayr, and a member of the United Church Women. She was also a member of the Blenheim - Dumfries Community Club. Mrs. Brown was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Pringle Brown in March 1936. She was also predeceased by three brothers. Surviving are: two sons, John P. Brown of Ayr and Gordon Brown of Galt; a daughter Jean Brown of Vancouver, B.C.; a brother James M. Lillico of Brantford; two sisters, Mrs. R. H. (Christina) Schermerhorn of Drumbo and Mrs. William (Jessie) Molson of Cainsville. There are seven grandchildren. Funeral service was held from Little's Funeral Home, Galt, on Saturday afternoon with Rev. D. E. Willis officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Little, MacKenzie Hall, William McRuer, David Brown, Vern Chenoweth and Robert Gladstone. Interment followed in Ayr Cemetery.

    Douglas Lillico Dies In West

    A well-known former resident of this area, Douglas Lillico, passed away in Edmonton on Sunday in his 63rd year. He had been in ill health for some time. He was born on the Lillico farm on the 11th concession of Blenheim, a son of the late John Hugh Lillico and Christena Barton. The home is now owned by Mrs. O. J. Breidenbaugh. He remained on the farm until his departure for the West 18 years ago. In his early years he was a well-known local hockey player, performing with the Ayr Vics of pre-war years. He was also a curler of considerable skill and was associated with the local curling club for a number of years. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Pringle Brown (Katherine) of Ayr, Mrs. Harvey Schermerhorn (Christena) of Drumbo and Mrs. William Molson (Jessie) of Cainsville, and a brother, McIntyre (Mac) Lillico of Brantford. Funeral service will he held on Thursday a 3 p.m. at Ayr Cemetery Chapel, with Rev, D. E. Willis officiating.

    Former Member of Ayr Hockey and Softball Teams Passes Away in Galt Hospital

    The death occurred in Galt Hospital on Tuesday at 9.30 a.m. of Robert John Lillico, 11th concession of Blenheim, in his 35th year. Mr. Lillilco had suffered with sinus trouble for the past two years and was taken seriously ill on Tuesday, June 3rd.

    He was the youngest son of Mrs. Christena Lillico and the late John Hugh Lillico and with the exception of four years in Alberta spent all of his lifetime on the farm on which he was born Early in May. he enrolled as a student in the electric welding department of the Aircraft School at Galt, where he spent about one month.

    In past years, he played goal for the Ayr hockey team and way also a member of the local softball team. He was quite popular in sporting and social circles, and his untimely demise will be regretted by all.

    Mr. Lillico was a member of Knox United Church and was unmarried. Besides his mother, he is survived by three sisters and three brothers, as follows: Mrs. Pringle Brown 'Catherine' . Miss Jessie, at home; Mrs. Harvey Schermerhorn, Christena, Alexander, Egmondville; Douglas, at home; James McIntyre, at home. The funeral will take place from his late residence in Blenheim township this Thursday) afternoon at 2.30 o'clock to Ayr Cemetery.

    FRANK BARTON - Frank Barton, 442 Lowther St. S., Cambridge (Preston) died Sunday at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital in his 73rd year.

    Born in Galt, he was a resident of Preston since 1927. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, the Preston Masonic Lodge, and St. Omar Perceptory of Cambridge (Galt).

    Mr. Barton is survived by his wife, the former Violet Wells, a son Robert of Millgrove, and two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Ann) Woolner of Truro, Nova Scotia, and Mrs. George (Lee) Tremaine and Mrs. Iva Collins of Detroit, Eight grandchildren also survive.

    Friends will be received at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queen St., Cambridge (Preston) where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm with interment in Park Lawn Chapel.
