    JOHN WEIBERG

    PRESTON, One of Preston's oldest citizens, John Weiberg, 79, died at his home yesterday afternoon following an illness of nearly a year. Born in Preston, Mr. Weiberg resided here all his life with the exception of a short period. He was engaged in carpentry work for many years and was employed at the James Gillies and Son, Ltd. and Canadian Buffalo Sled Co., for some years. He had lived retired for the past 20 years. His wife predeceased him three years ago and a sister, Katherine, predeceased him two years ago. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. C. Forwell, Preston: a brother, George Weiberg. Preston, and two sisters, Miss Mary Weiberg and Mrs. Robert Schultz, both of Preston. Remains are resting at his home, 615 North street., Preston, from where the funeral will take place on Wednesday at 2.30. Interment will be in Preston cemetery.

    PRESTON - Mary Weiberg, 96, died Wednesday, her birthday, at Coutts Pavilion, Freeport. She formerly lived at 238 Dover St., Preston. Miss Weiberg was born at Blair and had lived all her life in Preston and district. She was active in lodge work and was past noble grand and past district deputy of Queen Rebecca Lodge, Preston. She was also a charter member of the Preston Springs chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and had been active in many of its organizations. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weiberg and was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. The body will be at Stager-Barthel Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Preston Cemetery. Rev. J. S. Dauphinee of St. Peter's Church will officiate.

    PRESTON - Mrs. Robert (Eliza) Schultz., 83, died last night after a day's illness at the home of her sister Miss Mary Wieberg, 230 Dover St. South Preston, where she had been living. Born in Blair, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Eliza Wieberg. She had lived in Preston since 1903. She was member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid Society, the Women's Missionary Society and was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He husband, Robert C. Schultz died in 1953. Survivors include two sons, George A. and Harold R. Schultz of Preston and one sister, Miss Mary Wieberg. There are three grandchildren. A daughter, Irene, died in infancy. A brother, George Wieberg, died recently. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 2: 30 at the H. K. Stager Funeral Home with interment in the Preston Cemetery. Rev. James Dauphinee, Preston, will officiate. The body is resting at the funeral home.

    PRESTON - George William Weiberg, active in Masonic circles for more than a half century, died suddenly in his sleep early Sunday at his home, 616 Laurel St. He was 80. Born in Blair, Mr. Weiberg was a life-long resident of this area, and was superintendent at Canadian Office and School Furniture Ltd., until he retired three years ago. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and member of the church council. Mr. Weiberg was initiated into the Masonic order in 1904, He was master of Preston lodge 297 AF and AM in 1911. He was member of Royal City Lodge of Perfection and Guelph chapter, Rose Croux A and ASH, in the valley of Guelph; Moore Sovereign Consistory, 32nd degree A and ASR, Hamilton; the Past Masters, Worshipful Masters and Wardens Association of Wellington District AF and AM. Survivors include his wife, Lena Baetz, a son, Frederick G. Weiberg, Preston; a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Margaret) Mullan, Galt; two sisters, Miss Mary Weiberg and Mrs. Robert Schultz, both of Preston. There are three grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2: 30 p.m. Wednesday from the Stager-Pass funeral home to Preston cemetery. Rev. James Dauphinee is to officiate.

    PRESTON. Jan. 16 -- Ill only one day, Katherine Louise Weiberg, 236 Dover street south, died early today at her home here, Miss Weiberg was born near Blair, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Weiberg. She was a resident of Preston for 18 years. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran church, she was financial secretary of the Ladies' Aid Society. Deceased was also active in lodge work being past noble grand and past district deputy of the Queen Rebecea Lodge, Preston. At the time of her death she was assciated matron of the Preston Springs chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are two brothers, John and Geoge Weiberg and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Schultz and Miss Mary Weiberg all of Preston. The funeral will be held at 2.30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with a memorial service at her late residence. Interment will be made in the Preston Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, King Street, Cambridge, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment in Preston Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Cambridge Preston Hespeler Rotary Club or the St. Peter's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
