Peacefully, on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at her residence, Nithview Home, New Hamburg. She was formerly of RR 1, New Hamburg and was born in North Easthope township, 90 years ago, a daughter of the late Edwin and Christina tSchamber) Becker. She was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, where she was a member of the ELW. Lillian was a member of the 39 Plus Club and a member of the Restless Seniors, both of New Hamburg. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and playing cards as her hobbies. Lillian will be remembered for her kind and helpful nature. Beloved wife of Nelson Seyler, who predeceased her in 1985. Loving mother of Doris Schwartzentruber, David and his wife Dr. Susan Seyler, all of New Hamburg, Marie and her husband Mahlon Shantz of Kitchener, Harold and his wife Isabel Seyler of RR 1, New Hamburg. Ever missed by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. Also remembered by her brother, Harvey and his wife Florence Becker; her sister, Eileen McIntyre; her sister-in-law, Vera Becker, all of New Hamburg. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Corson (Gib) Schwartzentruber, a brother, Lloyd Becker and a brother-in-law, Bruce McIntyre. Fiends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, transfer will be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg for the service at 2: 30 p.m., with Rev. Eric Schultz, officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
