    Andrew S. Roth

    PRESTON, Oct. 11. Well-known Preston resident for many years, Andrew Simon Roth, died at Knollwood Park Hospital, Kitchener, early this morning, at the age of 78 years. He had been ill for some years. Born at Maryhill, Mr. Roth came to Preston many years ago and made his home here since that time. He had lived retired for the past 15 years. When coming to Preston he was employed at the Car and Coach, later at the Canada Last and prior to his retirement at Eastern Steel Products, as engineer and night watchman. He was a member of St. Clement's R.C. Church. His wife predeceased him in 1931. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Hilda) Sherridan, Preston; two sons, Leonard Roth of Preston and Clarence Roth of Toronto; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. George Gingrich, died in Preston, three years ago. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held with requiem high mass, at St. Clement's R.C. Church, at 9 a.m., Thursday. Interment will be in the R.C. Cemetery, Preston.

    Mrs. Hilda Sheridan

    PRESTON - Mrs. Hilda Sheridan, 840 King St., died at home yesterday following a sudden heart attack. She was 62. Daughter of Andrew Roth and Caroline Groh, she was born at Maryhill and lived in Montreal before she came to Preston about 18 years ago. Mrs. Sheridan was a housekeeper. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church here, and was active in the Catholic Women's League, the Altar Society and the League of the Sacred Heart. Surviving are her husband, Terence Sheridan, two brothers, Clarence Roth, Bradford and Leonard Roth, at home. The Catholic Women's League and the Altar Society will recite the rosary at the M. J. O'Brien Funeral Home, Friday, at 3 p.m. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at the church Saturday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Clement's Church Cemetery, Preston.

    Leonard A. Roth

    PRESTON-No inquest will be held into the death of a middle-aged Preston man whose body was discovered Saturday, six days after he died in his King street apartment. Coroner Dr. A. D. C. McLagan of Preston, said today Leonard A. Roth, 52, of 840 King St., died of a heart attack. The body was discovered by a neighbor. Following a private funeral at the Maurice O'Brien Funeral Home, Saturday. Mr. Roth was buried in St. Clement's Cemetery. Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Francis J. Hawkins of St. Clement's Parish. A bachelor, Mr. Roth was born in Preston and lived here all his life. Unemployed for many years because of ill health, he is survived by one brother, Clarence Roth of Toronto. He was a member of St. Clement's Church and the Holy Name Society.
