    Koehler, Mrs. Astor (Elsie) - Peacefully, on Monday, Dec. 10, 1984, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Elsie Marie Koehler, of 20 Admiral Rd., Kitchener, formerly of Wellesley. Elsie was born in North Easthope Township 91 years ago.

    She was a daughter of the late Henry Berg and the late Mary Herman, a member of St. Marks's Lutheran Church, Wellesley.

    Beloved mother of Verna (Mrs. Roy Kraehling) and Marie (Mrs. Wilfred Nebb), both of Kitchener and Dorothy (Mrs. Harold Knipfel) of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    She was predeceased by her husband, Astor John Koehler, November 11, 1973 and also by one daughter, six sisters and one grandchild.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. At 9 am Wednesday, Dec. 12, removal will be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wellesley, for funeral service at 11 am, Rev. Wilmer Minke will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Wellesley.

    KRAEHLING, Vera Annie (nee Koehler)- Peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the age of 88 at Heritage House Nursing Home, St. Jacobs. She was the beloved mother of John (Stephanie) and Paul (Zlata). She was a loving sister to Marie Neeb and Dorothy Knipfel. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Jennie, Leah, Daniel and Laura; other family relatives and also her friends (especially those from Admiral Road, Kitchener where she lived for over 50 years). Vera was predeceased by her husband, Roy in 1984, her mother, Elsie (nee Berg) in 1984 and father, Astor Koehler in 1973. Vera loved gardening and was generous to others. She succumbed to heart disease after suffering a stroke in the summer of 2005 and was partially paralyzed since that time. We are all sad at Vera's passing but also see it as a blessing. Relatives and friends will be received at Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel (519-742-4481) at 51 Benton St., Kitchener today (Saturday) from 2-4 p.m. and in the evening 7-9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church chapel on Benton Street, Kitchener on Sunday July 8, 2007 at 12 noon. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to another charity of one's choice.     NEEB, Marie Matilda (nee Koehler) May 18, 1920 - October 6, 2017 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Friday, October 6, 2017. Marie was the beloved wife of Wilfred Neeb (March 24,1984) and cherished mother of Judith McLeish (Bruce) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Betty Neeb Brechun of Cambridge. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Andrew (Kylie), Beth (Jake), Ben (Amanda), Matthew, Katherine (Daniel), and Sonya. She was so proud to be great-grandmother to Grace and Nora. She is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Marie is sister to Dorothy Knipfel of Waterloo and Vera Kraehling (July 5, 2007) of Kitchener. Marie is the daughter of Astor and Elsie Koehler and grew up on the family farm in Wilmot Twp. She lived most of her life in Kitchener and the last 12 years at Luther Village in Waterloo. Marie was a long-time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Kitchener. She had a kind and nurturing nature, enjoyed gardening and cherished her family. She was engaged in life until her passing in her 98th year. We are grateful for the excellent care Mom received at Grand River (Freeport), St. Mary's and Cambridge Memorial hospitals. Special thanks to the caregivers at Saint Luke's Place in Cambridge. Family and friends will be received at Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener.     KNIPFEL, Paul James - Paul died, peacefully, and went home to be with his Lord after a four month illness. He died at St. Mary's General Hospital, in Kitchener, on Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at the age of 50. Beloved son of Dorothy (nee Koehler). Paul is also fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles, Vera Kraehing, Marie Neeb, Howard Knipfel and his wife Marguerite, all of Kitchener, John Knipfel and Betty Knipfel of Waterloo, Walter Knipfel and his wife Irene, Fred Knipfel and his wife Erika of Petersburg and his many cousins. Paul will be especially remembered by his many special friends at Fairway Lumber in St. Jacobs. He was predeceased by his father, Harold in 1979; a sister, Bonnie Lynne in 1967 and his uncles, Roy Kraehling, Wilfred Neeb and Alfred Knipfel. Paul was a man of faith which was demonstrated in many practical ways. He was a strong supporter of the programs and youth at Lutherwood-CODA and many other charities in the community. Paul's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Dieter Kays officiating. Immediately following the service, friends and family are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for lunch and a time to visit with the family. Interment will take place on Saturday at 1: 30 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Petersburg.
