MARSLAND, Mrs. Joanne (nee Smith) - Born August 21, 1918 in New Hamburg, Ontario, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 at Columbia Forest Long Term Care, at the age of 89. Loving mother of twin sons George Marsland of Toronto and James Marsland of Los Angeles. Predeceased by her beloved husband, John Marsland, her parents Allen and Annie Smith and her sisters Helen, Margaret and Janet. A funeral service to celebrate Joanne's life will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at St. George's Anglican Church, 3 Byron, New Hamburg at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to gather at the church at 1 p.m. for a time of visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
