    KITCHENER MAN. FRED STUMPFLE, KILLED BY AUTO

    KITCHENER, 6 Feb. (CP)-Frederick W. Stumpfle, 40, of Kitchener was instantly killed last night in an automobile accident on the Kitchen-er-Guelph highway about 1/2 miles east of Breslau. Police said Stumpfle was alone in his car and they believe it collided with a truck. He was born on April 2, 1906 and lived the greater part of his life in Kitchener. He was a salesman for the National Auto Auto Parts Co., in Guelph. In 1930 the late Mr. Stumpfle was married to Eleanor Crigger who survives to mourn his passing besides two daughters Yvonne and Caroline. Two brothers David of Waterloo, Herman of Elmwood and three sisters (Annie) Mrs. John Subject; (Emma) Mrs. Arthur Leiffo, both of Elmwood and (Marie) Mrs. William Machesney of Kitchener also survive. The late Mrs. Stumpfle was a member of St.. Peter's Lutheran Church in Kitchener.

    MEETS DEATH IN ROAD CRASH


    Fred W. Stuempfle Was Husband of Miss Eleanor Crigger of Chesley

    Chesley and Elmwood friends learned with much regret of the untimely and unfortunate passing of Fred W. Steumpfle of Kitchener, who met his death last Thursday in said an automobile accident on the Kitchener-Guelph highway, about 12 miles east of Breslau. Police who investigated the accident Steumpfle was alone in his car and ther believe it collided with a truck. Death was instantaneous, The late Mr. Steumpfle was born on April 2, 1906, at Elmwood. As a young man, he was. associated with his brother in the garage business at Elmwood, and later was a car salesman for a Hanover firm for some years. He has been in Kitchener for quite a few years, and was a salesman for National Auto Parts of Guelph.

    He was married in 1930 to Miss Eleanor Origger, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Crigger of Chesley, and they have two daughters, Yvonne and Caroline. Also surviving are two brothers and three sisters, namely, David of Waterloo, Herman of Elmwood, Annie (Mrs. John Subject), Emma Mrs. Arthur Leifso, both of Elmwood, and Marie (Mrs. William Machesney) of Kitchener. The remains rested at a Kitchener funeral home until Monday afternoon, when a memorial service was held in St. Peter's Lutheran church, Kitchener, at 2.30 p.m., with interment in St. Peter's cemetery.

    HASENPFLUG, Mark Richard Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the age of 54. Proud Dad of Jackie and Jenny. Deeply missed by his wife Jo-Anne. Dear brother of Tim Hasenpflug (Margaret) and Susan Swiech (Ken). Mark is survived by his nieces and nephew. Pre-deceased by his parents Richard and Evonne Hasenpflug. Mark's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service will be held at St. Philip's Lutheran Church (236 Woodhaven Road, Kitchener) on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the London Health Sciences Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
