Jules Zeller wrote this about himself:
I was born at 70 Walter St. Berlin, ON. August 19, 1917. Usual schooling and then Waterloo College (Later to become Wilfred Laurier University, graduating in Honours French and German. Then I taught at Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate, on King Street, after Ontario College of Education, Toronto, in 1939. In addition I taught part time courses at Waterloo College, Waterloo, ON. I married my high school sweetheart, Grace P. Helwig, in 1941. The war was on and I became attached to the RCAF, in Dartmouth, NS and Yarmouth, NS, where my dear daughter Julie was born, in 1945. So I returned to KCI as Assistant to the Principle until 1948. Meanwhile I became a professional photographer and a lover of Oriental rugs. As a result I was asked to join Barrymore in Toronto and became responsible for all sales and major contracts in Southwestern Ontario, for 26 years. We had moved into our new house on Westmount Rd. S. in Waterloo and I got interested in Real Estate. Then Grace & I built a hone in Wasaga Beach and began collecting and selling antiques. Our Julie taught high school and married William Jessop, a chartered accountant, in Toronto. In 1973, they moved to Waterloo, had 2 children, Mark and Victoria, who both graduated from WLU. Thus, I became interested and involved with alumni and am an elder member of the Founders Club of Waterloo Lutheran University (Wilfred Laurier University), and still attend all meetings. I lost my dear wife and partner in 1999. Now I am 'retired' but yet have to find the 're' in that appellation.

Julius married Grace Pauline Helwig 28 Jun 1941, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Grace (daughter of Wilson George Helwig and Emma Schramm) was born 16 May 1914, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 17 Jul 1999, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Woodland Cem., Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.
