GRUNDY, Joseph W. "Joe" - On Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at his residence, 60 Bobolink Pl., Elmira, surrounded by family and friends, age 58 years. Joe is survived by his wife, Laurie; children, Camille St. Amand (Pierre), Josie (Chane), Kyle (Tricia), LeeAnn and Laura; grandchildren, Mitchell and Zackery St. Amand; brothers, Fred and Gerald; sisters, Diann and Betty. He was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Marie; sister, Carolyn. Well known in his community and beyond for his love of sports of all kinds, Joe will be particularly remembered for his many involvements in softball and hockey as a player, coach, sponsor and fan. There will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Joe's life will be held at the Elmira Arena (Joe's second home), 24 Snyder Ave. S., Elmira on Tuesday, May 23 at 7 p.m.
