    Kropf, William - Died peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Saturday, April 5, 1997, age 91 years, of Waterloo.

    Mr. Kropf was born in Waterloo and was a son of the late Rebecca Mank and Joseph Kropf. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Madeline Roth; his brother, Alvin Kropf and his sister, Adela Kipfer.

    Beloved husband of Florence Hollinger; dear father of A. William Kropf and his wife Irene of RR 1, New Dundee and Ron Kropf and his wife Joyce of RR 1, Kincardine. He is also survived by his step-son, Robert Roth and his wife Sharon of Waterloo; grandfather of Douglas Kropf and his wife Jane, Bonnie Reitzel, Dennis Kropf and his wife Maureen, Tim Kropf and his wife Irene, Melanie and her husband Mike Taves, Tom Kropf, Stephanie and her husband Mike Cachagee, Wendy Kropf and her friend Mike Pierson, Tracey and her husband Brett Taylor, Cindy and her husband Doug Schill and 22 great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Kropf was retired from Carlings Brewery, where he had worked for 44 years and was a member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church in Kitchener.

    Mr. Kropf's family is receiving friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. in Waterloo, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday). The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Martin officiating.

    Friends and relatives are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for lunch and a time to visit with the family immediately following the service in the chapel. The committal service will be held at Memory Gardens on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Alzheimer Society of Kitchener-Waterloo, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Beloved husband of Joyce (Kreutzwieser) Kropf and dear father of Tim Kropf and his wife Irene, Melanie Merkt and her husband Frank, all of Kincardine, Valerie Taves and her husband Mike of Baden, Tom Kropf of Bracebridge, Stephanie Cachagee and her husband Mike of Waterloo and Wendy Kropf and her friend Mike Pierson of Kincardine; dear "Poppa" of Megan and Tyler Kropf, Chesley and Avery Merkt, Bailey and Kirstie Taves, Matthew and Justine Kropf, Madison and Carleigh Cachagee. Visitation at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony's RC Church, 749 Russell Street, Kincardine, on Saturday, June 27, 1998 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kincardine Hospital-Palliative Care may be made as expressions of sympathy.

    KROPF, Arthur William (Bill) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Sakura House, Woodstock. Bill was born 76 years ago in Waterloo, son of the late William and Madeline (Roth) Kropf. He farmed for many years near Mannheim and New Dundee, and, along with his family, owned and operated Dundee Recycling. Bill was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Mannheim. He spent many years travelling to Texas and Arizona, was an avid card player, NASCAR fan and an International Harvestor collector and enthusiast. Bill enjoyed waterskiing, snowmobiling, dancing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Beloved husband of Irene (Hartmann) Kropf, whom he married May 2, 1953. Loving father of Douglas and Jane Kropf of New Dundee and their children Bradley (Katie), Kelly (Bruce) and son Tyler-TW, and Adam (Steph); Bonnie and Rick Klingenberg of Innerkip and their daughter Cheryl (Bob) and children Robbie, Madison and Emily; Dennis and Maureen Kropf of New Dundee and their children Laura, Stephen, Michael, Nicole and Kevin. Also remembered by sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jim Smith of Goderich, Elmeda Hartmann of Didsbury, Alberta, and by many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Kropf; his stepmother, Florence (Hollinger) Kropf; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Ernie Hahn, Hilda and Lester Huehn, Gertrude and Bill Huehn, and Gordon Hartmann. Friends and relatives may call at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and again Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Tuesday, October 13, 2009 transfer will be made to Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, 1531 Bridge St., New Dundee for the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Brown officiating. Burial to follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Mannheim.
