    Notes:

    Mrs. Annie Lichty died early last Thursday morning at her residence, Waterloo, in her 75th year. She was born on Oct. 26, 1870, in Mornington Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Kropf. She was a member of Stirling Ave. (Kitchener) Mennonite Church, and her husband, John E. Lichty, died April 5th, 1938. Surviving are six sons, Christian, David and Louis, Waterloo; Emerson and William, of Kitchener; Delton of Bridgeport; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Marshall of Bridgeport; Mrs. James Stevens, Waterloo; Mrs. Charles Yaeck, Kitchener; and Mrs. Earl Harper, of Waterloo; five brothers, Joseph Kropf, Wellesley; David of Mornington Twp.; Peter of Erbsville; Christian of Centreville; and John of Waterloo; and three sisters, Mrs. Chr. Ropp of Milverton; Mrs. Chr. Brunk of Ellis Twp.; and Mrs. Geo. Poole of Mornington Twp. Twenty-eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive. The funeral was held on Saturday from the residence with service following in Stirling Ave. Mennonite Church. Rev. A. R. Shelly officiated, and internment was made in the Waterloo Mennonite Cemetery.

    Christian Lichty

    A former resident of Waterloo, Christian (Chris) K. Lichty, died Sunday at the Independent Order of Odd Fellow's Home, Barrie where he had been a resident for about 10 years. He was 77. He was born at St. Agatha, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John E. Lichty. Mr. Lichty, who spent most of his life in the Twin City area, had been a carpenter and contractor for many years. He was a Mennonite. Surviving are four brothers, David, Waterloo and Emmerson, William and Delton, all of Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Marshall and Mrs. Clarence Yaeck of Kitchener, Mrs. James Stevens, Waterloo and Mrs. Earl Harper, London, Ont. Two brothers and one sister predeceased him. The funeral service will be conducted in Barrie on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

    MARSHALL, Mary-At K-W Hospital, on Tuesday, May 21, 1985, following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Mary Marshall (Lichti), of 133 Lancaster St. W., Kitchener, age 93.

    Mrs. Marshall was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church; the Women's Institute, Bridgeport, and Brilliant Rebekah Lodge, No. 61, Kitchener.

    Wife of the late William Marshall, who predeceased her in 1950; mother of Ivan of Kitchener, Kenneth of Arthur, Beatrice Ziegler of Kitchener, Effie (Mrs. Lloyd Osborn) of Fergus, Marie Brox of Arthur; sister of Emerson, Delton and Mrs. Leah Harper, all of Kitchener. Also survived by seven grandchildren.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funereal Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener after 7 p.m. today (Wednesday). Funeral service in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, Thursday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Jess E. Bigelo officiating. Interment Parkview cemetery.

A member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, the Women's Missionary Association and the Silver Cross Women of Canada. A native of Wilmot Township and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lichty. Wife of the late James G. Stevens who predeceased her in 1970; mother of George, Kitchener; Albert and Donald of Waterloo, and Kathleen (Mrs. Vernon Hamilton), Conestogo; sister of David Lichty, Waterloo; Emerson, William, Delton and Mary (Mrs. Robert Marshall) of Kitchener, and Leah (Mrs. Earl Harper), London; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Stevens was predeceased by two sons, Lorne and Harold; a grandson, Glenn Stevens; two brothers, Christian and Louis, and a sister, Mrs. Vera Yaeck. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, until noon on Thursday when removal will be made to Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, where Rev. James L.     LICHTY, Mr. David -- At The K-W Hospital on Sunday, December 24, 1978, David Lichty, aged 83 years, of 313 Bridgeport Rd. E., Waterloo.

    Mr. Lichty was born in St. Agatha, a son of the late John Lichty and the former Annie Kropf. He was retired from Greb Shoes, Kitchener, where he was employed for almost 50 years. Mr. Lichty was a member of Emmanuel United Church, Waterloo.

    Predeceased by his wife the former Inez Stauffer in 1962, three brothers and two sisters. Survived by one son Floyd of Kitchener, one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Dolores) Seiling of Route 1, Elora; brother of Emmerson, Delton and Mrs. Mary Marshall, all of Kitchener and Mrs. Leah Harper of London. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

    Resting friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. Richard Moffat officiating. Interment in Memorial cemetery, Kitchener (Bridgeport).

    Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Heart Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    Louis K. Lichty, 68, of 119 Albert St., Waterloo, died Sunday at K-W Hospital following a brief illness.

    Mr. Lichty was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lichty and resided in the Twin Cities for more than 50 years.

    He was employed at Greb Industries Ltd. for many years. Surviving are his wife, the former Sarah Mank; one son, Robert L. Lichty, Kitchener; on daughter, Mrs. Robert (Alice) Ashford, Haileybury; five brothers, Christian, Barrie, and David, Waterloo and Emmerson, William and Delton of Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Marshall, Mrs. Leah Harper and Mrs. Clarence (Vera) Yaeck, all of Kitchener and Mrs. James (Magdalena) Stevens, Waterloo, and one granddaughter.

    He was predeceased by one brother and a sister.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Wednesday when removal will be made to Kingwood Reformed Mennonite Church for funeral service at 2: 30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Aaron Yost. Burial will take place in the adjoining church cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

    Mrs. Clarence Yaeck, 93 DeKay St., died Friday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 66.

    Born in Ellice Township, May 26, 1904, she was the former Vera Lichty, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lichty. She lived in the Twin Cities most of her life and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

    Surviving are her husband; one son, Howard, Preston; one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Elaine) Snider, North Easthope Township; four brothers, David Lichty, Waterloo, and Emerson, William and Delton, all of Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Stevens, Waterloo, Mrs. Mary Marshall, Kitchener and Mrs. Leah Harper, London; and 10 grandchildren.

    Three brothers and one sister predeceased her.

    The body will be at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Monday at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Vernon Cronmiller of St. Mark's Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

    Earl W. Harper, 61, of 21 Sydney St. South, died Monday in K-W Hospital after a heart attack. Born in Carrick Township, he was a son of Mrs. Lillian and the late Samuel Harper. He lived in Kitchener for the past six years and in Waterloo for many years before that. He worked for 36 years at the Globe Furniture Company, Waterloo, and was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical United Brethern Church, Waterloo. He served in the First World War and was a member of Waterloo Canadian Legion branch. Surviving are his wife, the former Leah Lichty, whom he married in Waterloo in 1920; his mother, in Kitchener; two sons, Harold J. and Robert E., both of Kitchener; five daughters, Miss Ruth and Mrs. Richard (Gladys) Richman, both of London, Ont., Mrs. Louis (Helen) Bardon and Mrs. Alfred (Irene) Duernish, both of Kitchener, and Janet of Niagara Falls; two brothers, Bertram of Orillia and Emmerson of New Dundee. There are 13 grandchildren. One brother, Harold, predeceased him. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, where Rev. G. F. Barthel will conduct the funeral service at 3: 30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.
