    Notes:

    Ezra G. Jantzi of RR 1, Milverton died Thursday January 1, at the Stratford General Hospital. He was born in Wilmot Minn., in 1896, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Jantzi. He was a member of the Nafziger Amish Mennonite Church in Poole and had farmed in Ellice Township since 1926. He was deceased by his wife, the former Dorothy Janzti, in 1967. Surviving are three sons, Allan and Ezra J. of R.R. 1, Milverton and Ira of R.R. 2, Wellesley; two daughters, Mrs. Solomon (Ella) Stecky of R.R. 1, Bluevale; Mrs. Albert (Elma) Beisinger of R.R. 4, Listowel; one brother, Aaron of Mio, Mich.; three sisters, Miss Amanda Jantzi, Mrs. Nicholas (Mary) Jantzi, and Mrs. Isaac (Mattie) Roes of Brunner; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body rested at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, where a funeral service was held Sunday, January 4, at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at the Nafziger Amish Mennonite Church at Poole at 2 p.m. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

    JANTZI, Ira J. Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, Ira of Wellesley in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Esther (nee Bast) for 59 years. Loving father of Bruce and Debbie, Cheryl and Cliff Kraemer, Lynette and Dan Johnson, Carl and Shelley and Dale and Valerie. Dear grandfather of twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law; Margerite Jantzi, Verna Jantzi, Arlene Gerber and his brother-in-law; Roy Gerber. Predeceased by his parents; Ezra and Dora Jantzi, sisters and brothers; Ella (Sol Steckley), Allan, Clarence, Alma (Albert Biesinger) and Ezra. Brothers and sisters-in-law; Harvey, Allan (Barbara), Emerson (Lucinda), Edna (Sam Gerber), Elvera (Walter Hackett), Helena (Clarence Miller), Idella Bast, Lloyd, Robert and Erma Gerber. Ira was a retired farmer and loved wood carving in his retirement. Friends may call at the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home , 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Mapleview Mennonite Church, 5074 Deborah Glaister Line, Wellesley on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
