    Passed away on Thursday, January 19, 1978, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, William Charles Cross of 23 Elmwood Ave., Cambridge, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Vera Letson; dear father of Isabel (Mrs. Robert Foreman Sr.), of Cambridge, Coreen (Mrs. Carl Brubacher) of St. Clements, Thelma (Mrs. Leonard Reist) of Kitchener, Susan (Mrs. Tom Mills) of Kitchener and Mrs. Mary Martin of Owen Sound, Joseph, George (Pod), William (Bill), Douglas, Norman, all of Cambridge; dear brother of Norman of Cambridge and Elsie (Mrs. Torn Hawkshaw) of Cambridge; also survived by 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Resting at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, from 7 p.m., on Saturday. Funeral and committal services will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Monday, January 23, at 1 p.m. Interment, Mount View cemetery.

    Passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at the age of 83. Beloved husband and best friend of Joyce (Sauve) Cross for over 63 years. Loving father of Marilyn Readhead (Colin) and Debbie Mast (Doug) and the late Linda Cross (1958). Dear Pa of Dale and Drew Mast. Survived by brothers Joe, Doug and Ken and sisters Isabelle, Coreen, Susan and Marilyn and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Vera Cross, brothers Bill and Norm and sister Thelma. George worked at Babcock & Wilcox for 32 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, attended Forward Baptist Church and was a Life Member of Branch 121 (Galt) of the Royal Canadian Legion. Summers were spent in Port Elgin for 40 years and he looked forward to his time spent there with his many friends. George was a quiet and wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held from the Chapel of Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 3 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time.     Cherished grandmother of Kimberly, Jeremy, Robert, Tammy, Garry and Rina and great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandmother to 2 great-great-grandchildren.

    Dear sister of Douglas and Coreen Brubacher.

    Predeceased by her parents William and Vera and siblings Bill, Norm, Thelma, Joe and George.

    She volunteered her time at Forest Heights Long Term Care nursing home and was a former employee of Hi Way Market.
    Isabel's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 2:30 - 3:15 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the chapel at 3:30 p.m.

    Reception to follow.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

    REIST, Thelma Rosina (nee Cross) - Passed away peacefully, at her home, on Friday, December 26, 2008 with her family by her side, at the age of 68 years. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 51 years, Leonard; her daughter, Wendy Reist of Kitchener and her son, Brad Reist of Fergus. Sister of Corrine and Carl Brubacher, Isabel and Bert Foreman and Susan Cross, all of K-W, Joe, George and Joyce and Doug, all of Cambridge. Predeceased by her foster parents, George and Annie Groundwater; her parents, Charles and Vera Cross; her brothers, Bill and Norm and her three sisters-in-law. The Reist family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8: 45 p.m. The Funeral Mass for Thelma will be held at St. Aloysius RC Church (corner of Connaught and Traynor Ave. Kitchener) on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 10 a.m. Father Wojciech Kuzma officiating. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
