    Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 3 pm at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel for Absalom S. Bauman of 13 Mill Street, Elmira. He died on Monday at K-W Hospital at the age of 73. Burial will be in the Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. He was the husband of Lydia Ann Bauman; father of Maurice of RR1, Elmira; Raymond of RR3, Listowel; and Norma (Mrs. Laverne Martin) of St. Jacobs; brother of David of RR1, Waterloo; Paul of Streetsville; and Amzie of RR2, Elmira. He was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.

Pre- deceased by her parents Irvin and Hannah (Bauman) Freeman, brother Elmer, sisters Lucinda and Naomi, and a nephew Barry. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira, on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 1 to 4: 30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A family service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 9 a.m. then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.

Brother of Minerva Freeman of Floradale and Naomi Freeman of Listowel. Predeceased by a son Barry, a sister Lucinda and by his parents Irvin and Hannah (Bauman) Freeman. Elmer will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends and neighbours. Sister of Minerva Freeman of Floradale and sister-in-law of Margaret Freeman of Alma. Naomi is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Irvin and Hannah (Bauman) Freeman, her brother Elmer and her sister Lucinda. The family received their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Wednesday, May 18th from 5-9 p.m. where a family service will be held (today) Thursday, May 19th at 1 p.m. then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    FLORADALE, April 9, -- The home of Mr. and Mrs. Ervine Shoemaker, R.R. 1, Elmira, was the scene of a pretty wedding Saturday when their youngest daughter Verna May, exchanged vows with Mr. Maurice Bauman eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Absalom Bauman, R.R. 2, Elmira Daffodils, lilies and ferns created a charming setting for the ceremony performed by Bisshop O. D. Snyder, Elmira. Kitchener Solist Miss Grace Shoemaker, Kitchener, cousin of the bride, was soloist. Miss Mary Burkhart, Kitchener, cousin of the bride, was pianist, and played wedding music from Lohengrin as the bridal party entered the living room.

    The bride wore a gown of white Romania jersey with a V neckline and sutache braid with bugle bead trim. long full sleeves with fitted cuffs, shirred midriff and a long full skirt. Her bouquet was a cascade of red roses and stephanotis.

    Cousin Attendant

    Miss Erla Musselman, cousin of the bride was maid of honor, wearing a gown of mint green corded taffeta, round neck line, long fitted sleeves and scalloped fitted bodice, ending in a long full skirt. She carried a cascade of pink roses and stephanotis. Mr. Ray Bauman, brother of the bridegroom was best man. Ushering were Mr. Mervin Bauman, Elmira cousin of the bridegroom and Mr. Bruce Shoemaker, Paisley, cousin of the bride.

    80 at Reception

    A reception was held for guests. The mothe of the bride received in a navy crepe dress, black accessories and corsage of pink carnations. Assisting was the bridegroom's mother in a light blue dress, black accessories and corsage of pink carnations For a wedding trip to points in the United States, the bride donned a navy gabardine suit with pink and black accessories. Topping the ensemble was a pearl gray wool twill shortie coat and corsage of pink flowers. On their return they will reside at R.R. 1, Elmira.
