    HALTER, George - With his family at his side, on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, George passed away peacefully in his 79th year, at the Freeport Health Care Centre of the Grand River Hospital. Beloved husband of 48 years to Dorothy. Loving father of Donna (Dave) Balge, Nancy (Brian) Prattis, and Michael Halter (Sandra Medeiros). Cherished grandfather of Lindsay, Ashley, Nicholas, Michelle, Jessica, and Nicole. Brother of Doris, Anna, Shirley, Ed, Betty, Louise, Marie and Peter. Predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Anne Halter, and his brother, Willie Halter. George retired from Canada Cordage after 43 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and had a wonderful sense of humour. George was a country musician who loved playing fiddle. The Halter family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service for George will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. Fr. Earl Talbot officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.     Halter, Jim

    Passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his residence. Loving father to Michael & Michelle. Beloved son of Ruth & Wilfred (2002). Jim will be missed by his wife Julie. Dear Brother to David (Margit), Wendy (John), Rob (Audrey), Penny and Rick. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

    A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Howl at the Moon (1271 Victoria St. N, Kitchener, ON N2B 3E1) on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please join us as we raise a glass and share some memories of Jim's life.
