Gates, (Goetz) Anne M. - Of 53 Water St. N., a former resident of Detroit for many years, at the K-W Hospital, on Saturday, May 6, 1978, after a brief illness, 76 years of age. A member of St. Mary's RC Church. Sister of Mrs. Clara Bortz of Kitchener, Mrs. Betty Gartland of Crieff, Sister Lucille (Laura) of Notre Dame Convent, Waterdown, Charles of Breslau and Vincent of Detroit, predeceased by her parents Fridoline (nee Saras) and Charles J. Goetz, sister Emma Kirby and a brother, Arthur, in April. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, Benton at Church Streets, where a parish Scripture service was held at 8 pm. Prayers were said at the funeral home on Tuesday, at 9: 30 am, followed by a 10 o'clock funeral mass at St. Mary's RC Church. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
