    WHITTEMORE, Stephen Shelley - 1944-2006. The passing of Stephen Shelley Whittemore occurred on Thursday, March 2, 2006, at his home in Waterloo, ON. Born in Stratford in 1944, he was the son of the late Leslie and Aleda (Snyder) Whittemore. Steve worked for the City of Kitchener Works Department for many years, loved going to the cottage on Mallory Beach, took great pride in his Harleys and his truck, truly loved his family and friends and was a proud member of the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association. He is survived by his two brothers: Peter (Pat) of Wiarton ON, Ray (Sandra) of Baden ON; three aunts: Edna Whittemore of Calgary AB, Beatrice Whittemore of Stratford ON and Jean Friesen of Surrey BC; much-loved nieces and nephews and their families: Vicki (Geoff, Violet and Paul) Slocombe of Cambridge ON, Chris (Christine, Alex, Chance and Kezia) Whittemore of Milverton ON, Mike (Luanne, Kayla and Matthew) Pelechaty of Barrie ON, Traci (Brent and Alexis) Cochrane of Brampton ON, Julie (Martin) Peric of Oakville ON, Renee Whittemore of Calgary AB and Patrick Whittemore of Toronto ON; and many dear Snyder and Whittemore cousins. The Whittemore family will receive relatives and friends for visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 621 King Street West, Kitchener. Funeral Services will be held from the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. Interment will be held in Bloomingdale Mennonite Cemetery.
