At Cambridge Memorial Hospital on April 19, 1998 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean (Szwajkowski). Loving father of Sandra of Toronto, Peter and his wife Margot of Cambridge and the late Sharon Bogdan. Much loved Gee Gee of Luke and Zachary. As a young man of 17, Pop, made a voyage to Canada from the Ukraine. He made his home in Preston. He was a down to earth man who worked hard and took great pride in his family. Pop always said, "Don't be sad, I've had a good life, I'm a happy man." We give thanks for a life well lived. Friends may call at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, on Tuesday. Rosary will be held Tuesday evening at 8: 30 pm.
