    HANCOCKS, Wilfred - Passed away peacefully, on Thursday April 10, 2008 at St. Andrews Terrace, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of 62 years to Joyce (nee Maloney) and father of Jack (Linda) of Kitchener, Bernard (Janeen) of Cambridge and Ted (Rose) of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Christopher (Alicia), Peter (Heidi), Erin McLaughlin (Scott), Ben (Melissa), Shannon (friend Gregory), and Bethany (friend Greg). Dear great-grandfather of Abbey, Charlotte, Elizabeth and Makayla. He will be missed by his brother, Bernard (Joan) of Cambridge; his sister, Barbara Bailey (late Allen) of Cambridge; his sister-in-law, Patsy Raufeisen (late Bert) of Macedon, N.Y. and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his great-grandson, Alex and by brothers-in-law, Jack (Meta), Dennis (Pat) and Ted (Rose). Wilfred served in the RAF during the Second World War. He retired from a long career at Worthington Canada in Brantford in the early eighties. He was also an avid member and past President of Galt Legion Branch 121 as well as a member of the Galt Masonic Lodge 257. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Wilfred's life at Corbett Funeral Home , 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. Memorial visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. As expressions of sympathy donations made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the Beech Grove Unit Staff at St. Andrews Terrace for the care and compassion shown to Wilfred. www.corbettfuneralhome.ca
