    LORNE LEONARD PEFFER 1920-2008 Lorne, formerly of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away peacefully, at Pleasant Manor, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario on March 7, 2008, at the age of 87. Dearly beloved husband of Shirley (nee Wray). Loving father of Janice (Wayne) Ferguson and Lynn Peffer, both of Alberta. Proud grandfather of John Mustoe, Kristen (Jonathan) Best, Ronald (Shawna) Ferguson, and Tracey (Darin) Nelson and seven great-grandchildren. Cherished step-father of Susan (Edward) Perlman, Barbara (Michael) Kolodziej, Mary Jane (Russell) Ortman and step-grandfather of ten and step-great grandfather of one. Lorne is also survived by his brother Earl (late Joyce) Pfeffer and many nieces and nephews. Lorne is predeceased by his loving wife Marion of 37 years, and his daughter Elaine Mustoe, as well as his parents Edward and Louise Pfeffer and siblings Leona (Edward) Koenig, Alvin (Mildred) Pfeffer and Harold (Ollie) Pfeffer. Lorne served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. He was the owner of Peffer Sound Systems which specialized in sound systems and background music. He is a past member of the K-W Granite Club and a Life Member of the Audio and Engineering Society. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate Lorne's life will be held in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1 p.m. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family in the Funeral Home's Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit. Interment will take place at Colpoy's Bay Cemetery at a later date. Condolences for the family and memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Parkinson's Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Lorne, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
