MEWHINEY, Irene (Mrs. Carson) Peacefully on Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Wellington Terrace, Elora. Irene (Johnson) Mewhiney in her 95th year, formerly of Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Carson Mewhiney (1993).

Loving mother of Bruce and Edna Mewhiney of Elora, Carolyn and Charles Clemens of Oliver, B.C., Brenda and Phillip Ciufo of Orillia. Fondly remembered by her grand. children, Bonnie (Mike), Kim (Dwayne) and Lisa (Scott); Trish and Robert; and April, and seven great-grandchildren, Bryce, Dustin, Keshia, Matthew, Mark, Austin and Spencer. Dear sister of Evelyn Stickney and Mabel (Arthur) Cooper. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Ella Johnson, and two brothers Clarence and Earl.

The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Saturday, September 3, 2005 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Sunday, transfer will be made to Emmanuel Evangelical Missionary Church, (First St.) Elmira for funeral service at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. George Grierson officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery.
