    GENTLY FALLS ASLEEP.

Respected Attorney Passes Away After Complaining of Illness-For- merly Served in Legislature,

Death came suddenly to Attorney George W. Knox, yesterday morning, at his home, No. 1013 West Twenty- fourth street. At 6 o'clock he complained of illness, but fell asleep soon afterwards. When Mrs. Knox next went to his room he was dead. Heart disease is given as the cause.

Knox was 69 years of age and practiced his profession here for twenty-eight years. His office was in room 202, Tajo building, and among the older attorneys and citizens of the city and county he was well known.

Deceased was a Mason and a charter member of Los Angeles Tent No. 2, Knights of the Maccabees. He served in the Legislature from this county a quarter of a century ago, and at about the same time was assoclated with the District Atorney's office.

His widow survives; an only son, George Harold Knox, was killed a month ago by an automobile accident in Tacoma.

Funeral services will probably be held Tuesday afternoon at the chapel in Evergreen cemetery, to be followed by cremation.
