    Miss Ella Hall - Member of Pioneer Blenheim Family Passes in Her 84th Year - The death occurred in Woodstock General Hospital early Wednesday morning, Feb. 6th, of Miss. Ella Hall, 10th concession of Blenheim, in her, 84th year. Miss Hall had been in failing health for quite some time and had been in the hospital for the past five weeks. She was, the last of a family of nine, being a daughter of the late John Hall and Christina Drysdale. Miss Hall was born and raised on the Stobo Farm, 10th concession of Blenheim. The funeral, which took place on Friday afternoon to Ayr Cemetery, was attended by many friends and relatives. Rev., W. J. Moores of Willis United Church, Drumbo, was in charge of the service. The pallbearers were: Gordon Ronald, Martin Harrison, J. Gofton, Burl Harrison, Leslie McDonald and Jackson Clark.

    Alfred Hall - Plattsville - The funeral service for the late Alfred Hall was held in the home on the farm, 10th Concession of Blenheim, on Friday afternoon. After the service the remains were taken to Ayr cemetery for interment. Pallbearers were Messrs. Fred Mitchell, Burwell Harrison, Les McDonald, Jakie Gofton, G. Wallace and Gordon Ronald. The flower bearers were Messrs. A. Hanccok, John Duncan, Harvey Schermerhorn and Stuart Green. Deceased was born Aug. 8th, 1874, and died Nov. 19, 1939, on the farm home. He was the youngest son of John Hall and Christina Drysdale. He attended the local school and Woodstock High School. He graduated from St. Catharines High School, winning the Governor General's Scholarship for general proficiency. He attended Toronto University, gaining his M.A. degree with First Class Honours, winning the gold medal, and took a post-graduate course at Cornell University, U.S.A. He was a member of the Drumbo United Church where Dr. Hogg, who officiated at the service, is pastor. Surviving are two sons, Dr. John Hall of Lestock, Saskatchewan, and Donald F., a lawyer, of Toronto; two sisters, Miss Ella Hall, 10th concession, and Elizabeth (Mrs. John Linton) of Toronto. The late Alfred Hall attended Osgoode Hall, practiced law for some years, and for the past years lived with his sister on the farm.
