    SUDDEN DEATH AT HAWKESVILLE

Mrs. Fred Lackner Found Dead in the House by Her Son on Return from Field.

Death came very suddenly to Mrs. Fred Lackner, nee Henrietta Selp, who was found dead on the couch at her home at Hawkesville by here son Harold abont 4 o'clock on Monday. June 7. A report which was circulated to the effect that she had met with foul play at the hands of an unknown man, were unfounded. Doctors who called at the house stated that death was due to natural causes. Her husband at the time was away attending a meeting of the Wellesley Township Council, while her son was at work in the field. It was upon the return of the latter to the, house that her death was discovered. The baker, who called at the house at 1.30, stated that finding no one about the house, he left the bread on the kitchen table. On leaving he noticed a man in a coupe driving away but his identity is unknown. It was this fact that led to the authorities making an investigation.

The late Mrs. Lackner was born in St. Agatha 52 years ago and Is survived by her husband and one son who have the deepest sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement. The funeral, which was largely attended by friends and relatives, was held on Thursday afternoon from the family residence in Hawkesville to the Lutheran Church in St. Agatha for service, then to the adjoining cemetery for interment.
