Erb, Mary Bast, daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (Schultz) Bast, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont., Apr. 10, 1901; died at Stratford, Ont., Nov. 24, 1989; aged 88. On Dec. 11, 1924, she was married to Michael B. Erb, who died on Oct. 20, 1987. Surviving are 3 sons (Nelson, Elmer, and Lloyd), 6 daughters (Anna Mae Gascho, Lorene Shantz, Norma Zehr, Eileen Lebold, Florence Gascho, and Eva Mackinnon), 32 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 3 sisters (Emma Lebold, Clara Zehr, and Vera Erb). She was preceded in death by one son (Lorne), one daughter (Edna Erb), one great-granddaughter, 2 sisters (Elizabeth Gerber and Laura Wilker), and 3 brothers (George, Sam, and Elvy). She was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 27, in charge of Glenn Zehr and David K. Jantzi; interment in Riverdale Mennonite Cemetery.

ERB, Mrs. Mary on Friday, Nov. 24, 1989, at RECU of Stratford General Hospital, Mary Erb, of 6 James St., Milverton. She was born in Wellesley township 88 years ago, a daughter of the late Andrew Bast and the former Elizabeth Schultz. She was a member of the Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank, where she was a member of the WMSC. She had been a member of the Happy Hollow Helpers, Milverton. Beloved wife of Michael B. Erb, who predeceased her October 20, 1987. Dear mother of three sons, Nelson and Leona, Elmer and Adeline, Lloyd and Lauren, all of Millbank; six daughters, Anna Mae and Allen Gascho of Newton, Lorene and Lowell Shantz of RR 2, Walkerton, Norma and Harold Zehr of Attica, Mich., Eileen and Ralph Lebold of Waterloo, Florence and David Gascho of RR 1, Milverton, Eva and Wes MacKinnon of RR 1, Mount Bridges; one daughter-in-law, Ruby Erb of RR 1, Milverton. Lovingly remembered by three sisters, Emma (Mrs. Sam Lebold) of Milverton, Clara (Mrs. Emanual Zehr) of Poole, Vera (Mrs. Elmer Erb) of Wellesley. Sadly missed by 32 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. Mary was predeceased by one son Lorne, February 5, 1988; one daughter Edna in infancy; two sisters, Eliz-abeth (Mrs. John Gerber), Laura (Mrs. Dan Wilker); three brothers, George. Sam and Elvy and one great-granddaughter. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 9 Pacific Ave., Milverton, after 7 p.m. tonight (Saturday) and until Monday, Nov. 27, 1989 at noon, when transfer will be made to Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank, for the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Glen Zehr and Pastor David Jantzi officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Stratford Hospital Building Fund.

ERB, Nelson Formerly of Millbank, passed away with his family by his side, at Hillside Manor, Sebringville on Friday, September 19, 2014, at the age of 87. Nelson was a former employee of Millbank Cheese and Butter for 40 years. Beloved husband of Leona (Steckly) Erb whom he married in 1953. Loving father of Anita Schultz, Gary and Karri, Judy and Jim Brenneman, Paul and Lisa. Special grandpa of Scott and Samantha, Carissa and Chad, Sarah and Jeff, Asha and Joel, Jeremy and Bev, Justin and Pam, Ryan and great- grandpa of Hannah, Olivia, Hudson, Brynn, Jayce, Hayden, Brysen and Quinn. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Anna Mae Gascho, Ruby Erb, Lorene and Lowell Shantz, Elmer and Adeline Erb, Norma and Harold Zehr, Eileen and Ralph Lebold, Florence and David Gascho, Lloyd and Laurene Erb, Katie Anne Helmuth, Irwin and Betty Steckly, and Nelda Yantzi-Kropf.
