MARTIN, Ismael G. - Peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Caressant Care, Fergus, Ismael Martin, age 86 years of Elmira formerly of RR 2, Drayton. Beloved husband of Edna Martin for 59 years. Dear father of Kevin and Carol of Dubuque, Iowa, Steven of Elmira, Arlene and Alex Brander of Kanata. Loving grampa of Ian Brander. Brother of Almeda Martin of RR 4, Elmira and brother-in-law of Erma Martin of Elmira. Predeceased by his daughter, Donna Marie (1993); his parents, Ananias and Rebecca (Gingrich) Martin; his five brothers, Elo, Urias, Edmund, Orlan and Almon and his three sisters, Magdalena, Velina and Leah. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Trinity United Church, Elmira, on Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 12: 30 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with The Rev. J.D. Kellough officiating followed by interment in the Elmira Union Cemetery. In his memory, donations to Trinity United Church or St. Mary's Hospital Cardiac Care Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira.
