    GASCHO, Mrs. Aaron (Emma) -- At South Waterloo Hospital on Thursday, March 10, as a result of a heart attack, age 70 years, Emma Gascho of 315 Hedley St. Cambridge (Preston) and formerly a resident of Kitchener.A member of Bethel Tabernacle, Cambridge. Daughter of the late John B. Leis and the former Barbara Gascho; wife of the late Aaron Gascho. Surviving are three sons, Norman of Breslau, Roy and Lloyd of Kitchener; one daughter, Ruth (Mrs. Edward Hyjek) of Cambridge (Galt); four brothers, John of Lockport, NY, Abner, Alvin and Irvin of Wellesley; four sisters, Salome of Wellesley, Alma (Mrs. Clarence Roth) of Newton, Edna (Mrs. John Roth) and Katie (Mrs. Elmer Lebold) of New Hamburg. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and three gret-grandchildren. Predeceased by two brothers, Norman and Allan and four sisters, Barbara, Sarah, Nancy and Mary.Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener, untill 11 a.m. on Monday, March 14, when removal will be made to the Bethel Tabernacle, Cambridge (Preston) for funeral service at 2 p.m. Rev. M. I. Buczynski officiating. Interment to follow in Woodland cemetery

    Harold Gascho

    The death of Harold Jacob Gascho, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Gascho, which occurred at the home of his parents here last Friday, following an attack of pneumonia, caused deep regret among a large circle of friends with whom the deceased was very popular. The young boy took sick the previous Sunday and despite the best medical aid his condition grow worse and death claimed him. Harold was in his 15th year, being born in New Hamburg on Nov. 2, 1927. He attended the local Public School and since November last was employed at the Waterloo Lingerie factory here.

    Besides his sorrowing parents, he is survived by three brothers, Norman, Lloyd and Roy and one sister, Ruth.

    The funeral took place on Monday afternoon from his parents' home, Catharine Street, to Steinman's A.-M. Church for service, and interment in the adjoining cemetery. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends were in attendance. Rev. M. O. Jantzi was in charge of the services.

    Norman Gascho passed away peacefully at Lisaard House on October 28th, with family by his side. He was in his 91st year.

    Norman John Gascho was born on November 8, 1930 in New Hamburg, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents, Aaron and Emma (Leis) Gascho, by his siblings, Anna Mae, Mary, Harold, and Lloyd, by his daughter, Barbara Lynne and great-granddaughter, Avery Hughes.

    Norman is survived by his wife, Alice (Shantz) of 70 years. He is remembered by his children, Nancy (Gerhard) Klassen of Leamington ON, Susan of Waterloo ON, Betty (Brian) Brown of Surrey BC, Sally (Dave) Miller of Elmira ON, Penney (Kevin) Willms of Lethbridge AB, John (Rhonda Hildebrand) Gascho of Osler SK, and Christy (Yvan) Aubin of Kitchener ON. His 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren have many grandpa stories to share. He was happy to visit with his great, great-grandson this past summer. He is survived by his brother, Roy (Mary) of Kitchener ON, and his sister, Ruth (Edward) Hyjek of Cambridge ON. Remembered by The Vongsaly family.

    Norman worked as a salesman for Maple Lane Dairy for 20 years. He then owned and operated Run-Rite Burners, installing and servicing oil burner furnaces. Norm was a man of service, to his family, church, and the greater community. He volunteered many hours on Habitat for Humanity builds, installing duct work and furnaces. When he could no longer work on builds, he volunteered at the ReStore in Cambridge.

    Norman and Alice raised their family in Breslau ON, later moving into Fairview Apartment Seniors Community, Cambridge ON. They travelled extensively visiting family in the west and different parts of the globe.

    He was a member of Breslau Mennonite Church. To attend the visitation, personal face coverings are required, and relatives and friends must RSVP with the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445. Visitation will be held at Breslau Mennonite Church, 226 Woolwich Street, Breslau on Sunday, October 31st from 2pm \endash 4pm. A private family service will take place at Breslau Mennonite Church on Monday, November 1 at 2pm with Pastor Eleanor Epp-Stobbe officiating. Family and friends are invited to view the livestream of the service on his tribute page on the funeral home website.

Gascho Insurance and Realty Inc. and was an elder, a Sunday school teacher, and a passionate song leader. Lloyd loved and cared for people. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Monday, November 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, November 24 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Mark Gascho officiating. Rudy, with interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
