Roth, Benjamin Z., son of Joseph and Catherine (Zehr) Roth, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., May 5, 1898; died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., May 20, 1973; aged 75 y. 15 d. On Oct. 21, 1920, he was married to Amanda Everatt, who survives. Also surviving are 5 sons (Nelson, Milford, Elton, Harold, and Willard), 3 daughters (Beulah - Mrs. John Wagler, Hilda - Mrs. Walter Burkhart, and Pearl - Mrs. Mahlon Roes), 34 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 6 sisters (Mary - Mrs. Abraham Steinman, Kate - Mrs. Joseph Leis, Salome - Mrs. Emanuel Roth, Madeline - Mrs. William Kropf, Edna, and Sarah). He was preceded in death by one daughter, three brothers, and one sister. He was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on May 23, in charge of Gerald Schwartzentruber and Allan Schwartzentruber; interment in adjoining cemetery.

BENJAMIN ROTH

Benjamin Roth, 75, of Wellesley, died Sunday at Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital.

Born in Wellesley, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Roth.

He was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church.

He farmed near Wellesley, retiring in 1963.

Surviving are: His wife, the former Amanda Everett; sons, Nelson of Baden, Milford of New Hamburg, Elton of Millbank, Harold of Cambridge, Willard of Wellesley; daughters, Mrs. John (Beulah) Wagler of London, Mrs. Walter (Hilda) Burhardt of Kitchener, Mrs. Mahlon (Pearl) Rose of Milverton; sisters, Mrs. Abe (Mary) Steinman of New Hamburg, Mrs. Joseph (Kate) Leif of El Rose, Sask., Mrs. Emmanuel (Soloma) Roth of Baden, Mrs. William (Madeline) Kropf of Kitchener, Edna and Sarah, both of Waterloo; 34 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, three brothers and a sister.

The body is at the Futher Brothers funeral home until today (Wednesday) when removal will be made to St. Agatha Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Beloved wife of Phillip Shepherd and predeceased by her first husband John L. Wagler. He was born in Wellesley township 64 years ago, a son of the late Benjamin roth and the former Amanda Everett. He was employed at the BF Goodrich Canada Inc. plant for over 31 years prior to retirement.

He was predeceased by his wife Elmeta Holst, May 2, 1983. Lovingly remembered by his children, Larry of Baden, Jeanette and her husband David Quast of RR2, Baden, Leonard and his wife Dale of Fox crekk, Alta, Judy and her husband Ernie Dreher of RR2, Petersburg, Debbie and her husband Wald Hoffman of Baden, David and Gregg, both of Kitchener. Sadly missed by three brothers, Milford and his wife Merva of RR1, New Hamburg, Elton and his wife Ruby of RR1, Millbank, Willard and his wife Ada of Coldwater, Ont., three sisters, Buehlah (Mrs. John Wagler) of London Ont., Hilda and her husband Ray McEwin of RR3, Clifford, Pearl and her husband Mahlon Roes of Waterloo; one sister-in-law, Mrs Lorna Roth of Stratford and 11 grandchildren.
Nelson was predeceased by one grandson, Jeffrey in infancy; one brother, Harold; one sister, Catherine.

Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 7 p.m. today, until Friday at noon, when transfer will be made to the Internation Gospel Centre, 35 Charles St. E., Kitchener, for the service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Mark Emmerson officiating. Spring Interment in Wilmot Centre cemetery.
