    Dewar, John Private. Enlisted with 111th Battalion of South Waterloo at Galt, November 11, 1915. Presbyterian. Born in Leith, Scotland but had lived in Galt for years. He was a miller by trade. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewar, Norfolk Avenue, Galt. He died April 3, 1918 at the age of 21 with gun shot wounds in his arm, legs and chest. He was employed by the Galt Brass Company, Limited, Galt.1a
