    Mrs. John Juergens

    Mrs. John Juergens of RR 4, Kitchener, died Tuesday at Coutts Pavilion of Freeport Sanatorium after a lengthy illness. She was 83.

    The former Marie Anna Demmerling, she was born in Clifford and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Demmerling. Formerly of Mildmay, she lived in the Twin City area for the past seven years.

    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Gertrude) Schell, of RR 4, Kitchener; four brothers, Daniel in Alberta, Norman of Kitchener, Ira of Clifford and Herbert of Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Heinbecker of Waterloo and Mrs. John (Louise) Schnarr of New Hamburg; one grandson.

    She was predeceased by four husbands, Herman Binkle in 1931, Charles Widmeyer in 1939, John Westfall in 1947 and John Juergens in 1964; five brothers and three sisters.

    Funeral service was held Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rev A.L. Conrad officiating.

    Burial took place in Memory Gardens.

    Mrs. John Heimbacker[sic], formerly of 68 Alexandra Ave., Waterloo, died Saturday at Heritage House, St. Jacobs after a brief illness. She was 81. Mrs. Heimbecker was born in Howick Township and lived in the Twin City area all her life. She was the former Elizabeth Demmerling, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Demmerling. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Waterloo, and an honorary member of the church's Ladies Aid. Her husband died in 1963. A daughter, Eileen also predeceased her. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Allan (Mary) Geisel of Waterloo; four brothers, Daniel of Alberta, Norman of Kitchener, Herbert of Waterloo and Ira of Clifford; one sister, Mrs. John (Louise) Schnarr of New Hamburg and one grandson. The body was at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Tuesday when removal was made to Redeemer Lutheran Church for service at 3 p.m. Rev. Gerald Scholz officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens.

    Mrs. Henry Schnarr - Mrs. Henry Schnarr, 159 Madison Ave. S., died today at K-W Hospital. She was 78. The former Emma Catherine Demmerling was born Dec. 8, 1889, in Howick Township, moving to Kitchener 16 years ago. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving besides her husband, are five sons, Donald, Alllan and Gordon of Kitchener, Arthur of Odessa, Austin of Cobourg; seven daughters, Mrs. Harry (Esther) Knorr, Mrs. Elmore (Margaret) Allensen, Mrs. Theodore (Ruth) Hilker, Mrs. William (Joan) Shafer, all of Waterloo, Mrs. Elsie Durst and Mrs. Gordon (Verna) Repshuis, both of Hepworth, and Mrs. Laverne (Joan) Losch of Kitchener; four brothers, Norman of Kitchener, Hebert of Waterloo, Daniel of Alberta and Ira of Clifford; three sisters, Mrs. John Heinbecker of Waterloo, Mrs. Annie Jergins of Kitchener, Mrs. John Schnarr of New Hamburg; 35 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Mother of Sandra Bester and her husband Jerry and Ross Knorr, all of Kitchener; cherished grandmother of Heather and Scott, Bradly and Deb, David and Jennifer and ever-loving great-nana of Shelby, Wesley, Lindsey, Joshua, Timothy and Riley. Survived by her brothers, Gordon Schnarr and his wife Verna of Listowel, Austin Schnarr and his wife Molly of British Columbia, Donald Schnarr and Allen Schnarr, both of Kitchener and her sisters, Margaret Allenson and Ruth Hilker and her husband Ted, all of Waterloo, ,lean Lippert and her husband Oscar of Kitchener and Joan Schafer and her husband Bill of St. Catharines. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Esther's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, today ( Tuesday) from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday. May 27, 1999, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.

    Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at GRH Freeport Palliative Care, Kitchener at the age of 93.

    Loving mother of Luanne (Brian) Gingerich, Donna (Jim) Moore, and Richard Sippel. Grandmother to Kevin (Karen) Gingerich, Michael (Lauren) Gingerich, Jeff (Jen) Gingerich, Jonathan (Erin) Moore, and Karen Moore. G.G. to Faith, Katelyn, Leigha, and Rachel Gingerich. She will be missed by brother-in-law Bill Quirk, nieces, nephews, and their families.

    Audrey is now reunited with her beloved husband Eldon Sippel (1989).

    She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Florence Demerling, her brother Jim (Edna), her sister Sharon Quirk, and dear companion Walter Hagarty.

    Audrey was the ultimate Blue Jays and Elvis fan. She was a talented seamstress and in her later years an avid knitter and quilter. Audrey spent many years as head of Admissions for the Elmira Raceway and was known for her keen sense of humour and wit.

    Following Audrey's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will follow.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated and can be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.

    Suddenly passed away on Thursday July 18, 2013 with her family by her side at the St. Mary's General Hospital in her 72nd year. Loving and devoted wife of Bill for over 51 years. Loving mother to Jeff (Shirley), Mike (Madonna), Jennifer Quirk (Mike), Michelle (Gerry). The most amazing Grandma to Mackenzie, Madison, Michaela, Mitchell, and Emily. Survived by her sister Audrey Sippel of Elmira also sadly missed by Shirley Baker and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Jim Demerling, Sharon retired from Zehrs food market in 2002. Family and friends will be received at the Memory Gardens Reception Centre 2723 Victoria St. N. Breslau 519 904 0400 on Sunday July 21, 2013 from 2 - 4 & 7- 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel on Monday July 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the St. Mary's Hospital Cardiac Unit and to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family wishes to express a thank you to the cardiac team and Dr. Renner at St. Mary's General Hospital for their care and compassion.
