    Wellesley - Mrs. Mary Jantzi, 79, of RR 1, Wellesley, died Thursday at the home of her stepson, David W. Jantzi, RR 1, Wellesley, after falling down the cellar steps. Death was due to a fractured skull. She was attended by Dr. C. S. Seller of Wellesley. Born Feb. 19, 1875, in East Zorra, she was the former Mary Wagler, daughter of the late Joseph Wagler and the former Mary Schwartzentruber. She was a member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, 3rd Line of Wellesley. Her husband John Jantzi, predeceased her in 1950. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Enoch (Sarah) Horst of Linwood; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Jacob (Lydia) Albrecht and Mrs. David (Mattie) Zehr of Crosshill; Mrs. Christian (Barbara) Albrecht of Vero Beach, Fla., Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Roes of Millbank and Mrs. David (Catherine) Nafziger of Topping. Also three stepsons, Noah Jantzi of Wellesley and John W. and David W., both of RR 1, Wellesley; a brother Joseph Wagler of RR 1, Wellesley and a sister, Mrs. Christian Schwartzentruber of RR 2, Baden. Forty-two grandchildren also survive. The body is at the David W. Jantzi home, RR 1, Wellesley, where a short funeral service will be conducted Monday at 1: 30 p.m. Removal will be made to Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church for a memorial service at 2: 30 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Bishop Samuel Roth will officiate.

    HORST, Mrs. Enoch (Sarah) On Monday, May 18, 1998, at her home, RR 4, Elmira, Sarah Jantzi, age 83 years, born June 11,1914.

    Sarah was married on January 5, 1941 to Enoch Horst, who predeceased her in 1976.

    Leaves to mourn seven children, Mary and Emma or RR 4, Elmira, Edna (Mrs. Abner Martin) of RR 1, Alma, Madeline (Mrs. Gordon S. Bauman) of RR 2, Drayton, Dorothy of Elmira, Glen of RR 4, Elmira and David of RR 1, Gowanstown; also survived by 17 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

    Sarah was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her parents, John B. Jantzi and Mary Wagler; five brothers and seven sisters.

    The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made to her home on Thursday morning for funeral service at 1: 30 p.m., then to Goshen Mennonite Church for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    BAUMAN, Madeline (nee Horst) Wife of the late Gordon S. Bauman (2012), passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, in her 74th year. Loved stepmother of Martha and Abner Bauman of Millbank, Paul and Verna Bauman, Verna and Willard Bowman, and Esther Bauman, all of Drayton, Lena and Edgar Sauder of Mount Forest, Laura and Earl Bowman of Kenilworth. Cherished grandmother of 26 step-grand-children and 62 step-great-grand-children. Dear sister of Mary Horst of Elmira, Emma Horst of Elmira, Edna and Abner Martin of Alma, Dorothy Horst of Floradale, Glen and Anna Horst of Elmira, and David and Nancy Horst of Kurtsville. Predeceased by her husband Gordon S. Bauman, with whom she lived in matrimony for 23 years, one step-great-grandson (2018), and her parents Enoch and Sarah Horst. Visitation will be held, from 6 - 8 p.m., on Monday, July 15, 2019, and from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 then to Goshen Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
