Mogr, Herbert - of RR 1, New Hamburg, passed away at the Stratford General Hospital, Sunday, October. 25th, 1981, in his 84th year,

He farmed in the North Easthope Township and did carpentry work.

Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Mohr. Survived by his wife, the former Mary Becker ; one son, Harold of RR1, New Hamburg, two daughters, Geraldine (Mrs. Stewart Helmuth) Preston, Verna (Mrs. Herbert Hackbart), of RR 1, New Hamburg, one brother, Louis Moore of New Hamburg, one sister, Luella (Mrs. Jack Wilson) of Stratford, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one daughter, Shirley, one sister and three Brothers.

Visitation of the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley after 7 p.m. tonight. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

On memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with Reverend Robert Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the New Lisbon Cemetery.

HELMUTH, Geraldine Geraldine Elizabeth Helmuth, 82, of Cambridge passed away at St. Luke's Place, Cambridge on Monday, November 9, 2009. She was born in North Easthope Township on July 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Herbert Mohr and the former Mary Becker. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Ralph Chapman (1951) and Stuart Helmuth (2002). Geraldine is survived by five children, Kenneth Chapman and Kathy, Donna Reid, Larry and wife Karen Helmuth, Marilyn and husband Jim Guenther, Marion and husband Greg Butcher and was happy to have recently been reunited with her first born daughter, Linda Bundscho; nineteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Leona Mohr; her brother-in-law, Herbert Hackbart; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lorne and Mary Helmuth, Katie Ann Helmuth. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Verna Hackbart and Shirley Mohr and "Helmuth" brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. Pastor Ray Martin will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th line. Passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Monday October 30, 2006.
Beloved wife for 55 years of Herbert Hackbart of Wellesley. Loving mother of Murray Hackbart, Joyce (Wayne) Gerber, Marlene (Paul) Ming, and Joan (Neil) Gray. Proud and loving grandmother of David (Laura) Gerber, Angela (Chris) Gerber, Jennifer Ming, Sherri (Matt) Ming, Danielle Gray and Candice Gray as well as great-grandmother of Calem, Keegan, Siarah and Taesha. She will also be remembered by her brother Harold (Leona) Mohr and sister Geraldine Helmuth and sister-in-law Margaret (Joe) Brown.

Predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Mary Mohr and brother-in-law Stuart Helmuth.

Verna cared deeply for her husband and family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Verna and Herbert farmed for 40 years in North Easthope Township. Her passions included gardening, ballroom dancing and cooking. Verna was a role model for all.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Verna with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Verna life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday November 2, 2006 at 11 a.m. Reception will follow in the funeral home Fireside Reception Room. Interment will take place at Rush's Cemetery, Wellesley on Thursday afternoon.

Sandra passed peacefully surrounded by family and caregivers on Wednesday at her residence, Nithview Community, New Hamburg.

Survived by her sister Jane Leis (Bruce) of New Hamburg. Special aunt of Derek Leis (Danielle) of Woodstock, and Carrie Leskew (Steve) of Minesing, Ontario. "Huggy Bear" to John, Meia, Ava and Adalyn.

Predeceased by her Mom and Dad, Ivy and Louis Mohr. Also remembered by a number of aunts, an uncle and many cousins.

Sandra faced her challenges in life head on and did not let Downs Syndrome hold her back. Bowling, swimming, t-ball, Special Olympics, Friendship Club and even horseback riding kept Sandra busy. Sandra worked in the kitchen at Nithview Community, New Hamburg for many years and then volunteered at the New Hamburg Thrift Store for eight years, keeping the other volunteers entertained with her stories and antics. She made many lifelong friends and if you met her, you were likely her "favourite person" or may have been adopted as her "cousin".

Sandra was supported for many years by the wonderful staff of Aldaview Services, New Hamburg and found new independence with a move to Riehl Group Home in 2011 and then to Suite 22, Nithview Community where she spent her last two years, supported by her amazing caregivers and her loving Aldaview family of Steve, Rodney and Dianne. Sandra received excellent loving care from the Paramed staff who became like family. Sandra attended church at Nithview and formerly attended at New Hamburg Fellowship Bible Church.

Family and friends were received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday November 4, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A family interment took place on Saturday November 5, 2016 prior to the funeral service at Rushes Cemetery, Wellesley Township. The celebration of Sandra's life was held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Sheri Martin Carmen officiating.

Murray will be remembered by his nephew and nieces, David Gerber, Angela Schyff, Jennifer Ming, Sherri Ming-Bell, Candice Thornton, Danielle Remers and by his 13 grand nieces and nephews. Also remembered by his aunt and uncle Leona & Harold Mohr and many cousins.
