BRIERE, Arsene - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Arsene Briere, age 67 years, of Linwood.

Loving husband for 44 years to Norine Briere of Linwood; dear father of Barry and his wife Kris of Elmira, Brett and his wife Karen of Cambridge. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Kyle and Coryn, Amelia and Shania; brother of Lucille Derouin of Cornwall, Rene and Betty of Crysler, Florence Brunet of Long Sault, Gerard and Doris of Waterloo, Jerome and Marie of Kitchener, Theresa Roseberry of Cornwall; sister-in-law, Rose Briere of Kitchener; uncle of Gail Lauritsen of British Columbia; godfather of Cindy Harinko of Waterloo; brother-in-law of Gerald and Jeanne Groce of Tottenham. Also fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Aldina Briere; his brothers, Romeo and Phillip; brother-in-law, Harry and sister-in-law, Delores Emmerson and his sisters, Jeanne and Irene.

At Arsene's request, there will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place. There will be a mem-orial service for family and friends on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood at 11 a.m., with Rev. Olaf Poulsen officiating. Spring interment of cremated remains will take place at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Linwood.

In Arsene's memory, donations to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be obtained by calling Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, 669-2207. A special thank you to Dr. Hentschel, the staff of ICU at K-W Health Centre and all our friends in Linwood for their care and concern shown to Arsene.
