    MARTIN, Lawrence - Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Lawrence Martin, in his 71st year, of Wallenstein.Beloved husband of Martha Martin; dear father of Ken, Stephen, Bruce and his wife Nan, Kate and her husband Russell Leighton and Fred. Also lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren, Jonas and Lewis Martin and Malinda and Nicholas Leighton. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Faye Martin, Mary and Bevis Campbell, Glenda Martin, Joe and Fran Martin, Joyce Ruppert, Rowly and Willie Martin, Gord and Heather Martin, Janet and Dave Hoffman, Elaine and Bill Embree. Predeceased by his parents, Noah M. and Emma (Brubacher) Martin; two brothers, Lanson and Clare; brother-in-law, John Ruppert.The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Friday, May 13, transfer will be made to Wallenstein Bible Chapel for funeral service at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Hawkesville Cemetery.In his memory, donations to Gideon Bibles or Conestoga Bible Camp would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

    MARTIN, Joe December 25, 1938 - May 9, 2013 Passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013, in his 75th year with his family by his side. Loving husband of Fran Martin. Devoted father of Michelle (Tim), Greg (Josalin) and Jill (Chris). Cherished Papa to Brandon Lalonde, Hadley Hart and Magnus and Rowan Macdonell. Joe is survived by siblings Mary, Joyce, Rowly, Gord, Janet and Elaine. Predeceased by his Parents Emma and Noah M. Martin, his brothers Lanson, Lawrence and Clare. Joe will be profoundly missed by his loving family, countless friends, colleagues and those he connected with across Canada and around the world. Joe touched the lives of so many with his laughter, his personal interest in people and his overall zest for life. Joe was also highly respected business leader, spending 50 years in the Heavy Equipment industry. Starting his career as mechanic in 1960, his determination and unparalleled dedication propelled him through a notable career in sales leadership. Joe's genuine ability to build relationships with everyone from the shop to the corner office has left its mark on countless people in his professional circles. From 1944-2013 Joe enjoyed the best years of his career, serving as Vice President and General Manager, Central Division of Toronto CAT. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24th from 2: 30- 4: 30 p.m. and 5: 30-7: 30 p.m. at Glen Oaks Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line Oakville (403/ Dundas). A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1: 00 p.m. at Compass Point, 1500 Kerns Road, Burlington.
