Edna Martin (Lichty) was predeceased by her husband Ephraim Martin (2003). She is survived by her children Annie (Harvey) Martin of RR1, Linwood, Melvin (Salome) of RR1, Mount Forest, Mary (Abner) Martin of RR1, St. Clements, John of Hawkesville, Salome (Noah) Gingrich of RR2, Drayton, Lucinda (James) Martin of RR2, West Montrose, Barbara (Elam) Martin of RR1, Wingham, Martha (Cleon) Horst of RR1, Elmira, Esther (Orvie) Martin of RR2, West Montrose, Elvina (Eldon) Martin of RR1, Elmira, and Minerva (Edward) Martin of RR1, Elmira. Also survived by 75 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, her sisters Erla Martin and Minerva (Enos) Martin, and a brother Cleason Lichty. Predeceased by her parents Isaiah and Ida (Martin) Lichty and a sister Mary Lichty (1947). Friends may call at her home (1072 Geddes Street, Hawkesville) on Tuesday (today) from 1 p.m. to 7: 30 p.m. and at the home of Eldon Martin (1256 Jessie Place, RR1, Elmira) on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5: 30 p.m., where a family service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 9 a.m., then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Dear mother of the late Aaron Martin (b. 1958 - d. 1977), Orvie and Anna of RR 5, Mount Forest, Amsey and Lorene at home, Selina and Arnold Bowman of RR 1, Elmira, Lucinda at home, Elam and Mary of RR 5, Mount Forest, Allen and Naomi of RR 2, Drayton, Amon and Anna of RR 5, Lindsay, and Almeda and Leonard Frey of RR 1, Elora. Grandmother of 58 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by grandson Clayton Bowman (2016). Survived by her stepmother Anna Gingrich, and sister Erla Martin (the late Elam). Predeceased by her parents Isaiah and Ida Lichty, sisters Edna (Mrs. Ephraim Martin) and Mary (1947), brother Cleason, and stepfather Joseph Gingrich. Visiting will take place at the family home, 7378 Sixth Line, RR 2, Drayton on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 10 a.m. - noon, 1 - 5 and 6 - 8 p.m. A family service will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the home, then to Olivet Mennonite Meeting House for burial and further service.
