Mrs. Edgar A. Schelter, 58, of St. Jacobs, died Monday at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital. She was the former Olga Fischer and was born in Germany Sept. 12, 1909, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fischer. She came to Ontario in 1924. Mrs. Schelter was predeceased by her husband in July, 1961. They were married Oct. 8, 1930. Mrs. Schelter was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs. She is survived by three sons, John and William, both of St. Jacobs, and Arthur, of Toronto; one daughter, Margot, of St. Jacobs; sisters, Mrs. Freida Stendel, of St. Jacobs and Mrs. B. (Irene) Umlandt, of Elmira; one sister and three brothers in Germany, and two grandchildren. Funeral service was held today (Wednesday) at St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs, with Rev. Harold Brill officiating. Burial was in St. James cemetery, St. Jacobs.

Beloved wife of the late Gustav Stendel (1967). Dear mother of Martha Michenfelder of St. Jacobs. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Bryan and Teresa of St. Jacobs, Susan and Steve of Waterloo and by her great-grandsons William and Aidan. Sister of Irene Umlandt of Kitchener, Ella Grote of Germany and Ernst Fischer of Germany. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her son-in-law Wolfgang Michenfelder. At Frieda's request, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial visitation for family and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Monday, September 25 from 1 p. m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2 p. m. with Rev. Harold Brill officiating, followed by interment of cremated remains in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, St. Jacobs. In her memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

Irene (Fischer) Umlandt age 91 years of Kitchener, formerly of St. Jacobs and Elmira. Irene was born in Itzstedt, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1951 with her family. Dear wife of the late Berthold Umlandt (1981). Beloved mother of Margret Farr of Ottawa, Hogie and his wife Barbara Ann of Kitchener, Barbara Wagner and her husband Douglas of Roseville, Karen Dobson and her husband Warren of Charleston, Nova Scotia. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Darryl, Neil, Jessica, Dean, Brendan, Joel, Raena, Erin, Devin, Drew, David, by her eleven great-grandchildren and by the Wagner family. Funeral service was held today (Tuesday) in Waterloo for William "Hubba" Schelter, of Waterloo. He died November 15, 1986, at Toronto General hospital. He was 41.
He was the husband of Helen Davis; father of Scott and Stacey Schelter, both at home; brother of Jack Schelter of St. Jacobs, and Margot and Arthur Schelter, both of Waterloo; predeceased by his parents, Olga and Edgar Schelter.
Cremation took place.
