    At Brantford General Hospital, on Saturday, January 17, 2004, James Douglas Perry, formerly of R2, Paris, in his 90th year. Dear husband of the late Florence McRae and the late Mary Willman. Beloved father of Mac and Marelene of R2, Paris, Joyce and Bill Beemer of Stoney Creek, Pat and Joe Jarvis of Ripley, Ray and Karen of Drumbo, Betty and Bob Bowman of Calgary, Alberta, George and Gloria of Richwood and Linda and Don Davidson of RR3, Ayr. Loved grandfather of 20 and great-grandfather of 16. Dear brother of Robert and Mary of RR2, Paris. Predeceased by grandchildren, Lisa and Michael and by sister, Jean (Schmidt) Seymour. Doug farmed his entire life at RR2, Paris. He was a former longtime and active member of Knox United Church, Ayr and presently a member of Calvary Church, Ayr. Doug was an avid woodworker and shared his talent with many. Funeral service will be held at Calvary Church, 173 Northumberland Street, Ayr, on Monday, January 19 (today), at 10 a.m., Pastor Pat Murphy officiating. Spring interment in Ayr Cemetery.

    Douglas Perry - Former RR 2, Paris resident James Douglas Perry, died at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, January 17, 2004. He was in his 90th year. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, he was son of the late Emma Schlimme and William Rankin Perry. Doug farmed his entire life at RR 2, Paris. He was a former long-time and active member of Knox United Church, Ayr and presently a member of Calvary Church, Ayr. Doug was an avid woodworker and shared his talent with many. He was predeceased by his wives, the late Florence McRae and the late Mary Willman. He is survived by his children, Mac and Marelene of RR 2, Paris, Joyce and Bill Beamer of Stoney Creek, Pat and Joe Jarvis of Ripley, Ray and Karen of Drumbo, Betty and Bob Bowman of Calgary, Alberta, George and Gloria of Richwood and Linda and Don Davidson of RR 3, Ayr; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and by his brother, Robert and Mary of RR 2, Paris. In addition to his parents and wives he was predeceased by grandchildren Lisa and Michael and by sister, Jean (Schmidt) Seymour. Funeral service was held at Calvary Church on Monday, January 19 at 10 a.m. Pastor Pat Murphy officiated. Spring interment will be in Ayr Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home.
