    Snyder, Melvin, son of Aaron K. and Mary Ann (Martin) Snyder, was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., Oct. 30, 1905; died of a heart attack at Glen Allan, Ont., Jan. 29, 1973; aged 67 y. 2 m. 30 d. On Jan. 26, 1932, he was married to Hannah Sittler, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Paul), 4 grandchildren, 4 brothers (Ferman, Aaron, Edward, and Oscar) and 3 sisters (Anna - Mrs. George Shoemaker, Lydiann - Mrs. Melvin Martin, and Violet - Mrs. Christian Weber). On son (Stanley) preceded him in death. He was a member of the Glen Allan Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Jan. 31, in charge of Nelson Martin and Amsey Martin; interment in the Glen Allan Cemetery.

    WEBER, Violet (Snyder) Peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Palmerston Hospital, in her 89th year, of RR 1, St. Jacobs, formerly of RR 1, Harriston. Wife of the late Christian Weber (2009). Dear mother of MaryAnne and John Brubacher, Irvon and Minerva Weber, all of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Elam and Mary Weber of RR 2, Pembroke, Sara and Ananias Martin of RR 1, Gorrie, Malinda Weber, Lena and Ervin Horst, all of RR 1, Newton, David and Maryann Weber of RR 1, Harriston. Also survived by 29 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Minerva Snyder, Lucinda Weber, Noah Martin, Minerva Weber and Ion and Emma Weber. Violet was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her parents Aaron and Maryann (Martin) Snyder, five brothers, four sisters, stepfather Josiah Brubacher and two grandchildren. Friends may call at the home of John Brubacher, 1111 Three Bridges Road, RR 1, St. Jacobs, (today) Friday, January 6, 2012 from 1 - 7 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 9 a.m., then to Conestogo Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.     Martin, Edna S. Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in her 87th year. Edna Martin (nee Metzger) was the beloved wife of the late Elam G. Martin (1983). Dear sister of Elmer Metzger of Wallenstein, Alice Metzger of Elmira, Amzie and Ethel Metzger of Kitchener, Noah and Doris Metzger of Elmira, and sister-in-law of Katherine (Katie) and Evald Carlson of Linwood. Also lovingly remembered by brother-in-law Sydney and Lovina Martin, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Noah and Irene (Snyder) Metzger, brother Joseph (1991), brothers and sisters-in-law Onias, Elvina, Magdalena, Lydia, Amos, Mary, Susannah, Minerva. Edna was a faithful member of Knox United Church in Glen Allan until it closed. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday, March 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14th at 10: 30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Glen Allan Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or CNIB. Thank you to Edna's friends at the Dunke Street apartments in Elmira for your loving assistance to her over the past years and to the Cardiology Department at St. Mary's Hospital for the care given to Edna during the last week.

    Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Wellington Terrace, Fergus at the age of 83 years. Beloved mother of Roger and Judy Bauman of Elmira, Michael and JoAnn Bauman of Waterloo, Lorraine and Keith Clemmer of RR 4, Listowel, and Marjorie Bauman of Waterloo. Cherished grandmother of Nathan (Janessa), Stephanie (Robert) Brayshaw, Matthew (Nicole); Eric (Danielle) Clemmer, Sheila (Andrew) Bauman, Joey (Deborah) Clemmer, Denise (Jamie) Martin; Patrick Cort; and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Florence (Mrs. Gordon Martin), Luella (Mrs. Elam Martin), Ellen (Mrs. Abner Knorr), and sister-in-law of Salema (Mrs. Mahlon Martin), Malinda (Mrs. Ervin Martin), and Martha (Mrs. Ivan Martin). Predeceased by her daughter Maureen Bauman, son Eric Bauman, parents Melvin and Lydia Ann (Snyder) Martin, brothers Mahlon, Ervin, Abner, Ivan, and sister Saleda Brubacher. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Woolwich Community Services Foodbank or Wellington Terrace would be appreciated and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.     BAUMAN, Eric-On Tuesday, July 11, 1989, at his residence, Sunbeam Home, Kitchener, age 21 years. Beloved son of Henry and Irene (Martin) Bauman of Elmira; brother of Roger of Glen Allan, Michael of RR 1, Elmira, Lorraine (Mrs. Keith Clemmer) of RR 1, Newton, Maureen (Mrs. Perry Cort) of RR 1, Elmira and Marjorie of Elmira. Eric had been a resident at the Sunbeam Home for the past 19 years. A private family service was held today (Wednesday) from the Dreisinger Funeral Home, followed by interment in Elmira Union cemetery.
