    RABETHGE, Frank C. - On Sunday, Oct. 19, 1980, at Freeport Hospital, Frank Carl Rabethge, in his 88th year, formerly of Madison Ave. S., Kitchener.

    He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Kitchener and had been employed with the City of Kitchener Parks Board until his retirement.

    Husband of the late Ella Doering of Phillipsburg; dear father of Evelyn (Mrs. Stanley Hohl) of New Hamburg, Mrs. Alma Heimpel of Heidelberg, Irene (Mrs. Donald Cunningham) of Elmira, Blanche (Mrs. Roy Doering) of Philipsburg and Laverne of Kitchener; brother of Mrs. Erna Hartleib and Mrs. Dorothy Weist, both of Waterloo, Eric of Kitchener and William of Cambridge. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 pm today. Funeral service in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Wednesday at 3 pm with Rev. Eric Reble officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

    Died peacefully, with her family at her side, at Village of Winston Park, on Monday, June 12, 1995, age 87 years. Mrs. Weist was born in Kitchener and was a daughter of the late Wilhelmina Schomberg and Franz Rabethge. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick P. Weist in 1975; her son, Donald in 1976; three brothers and four sisters. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Kitchener. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Marlene and her husband Leonard Olender of Waterloo. Loved by three grandchildren, Heather Lynn, Randy and Mark Weist and a daughter-in-law, Reita of Kitchener. Mrs. Weist's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., today (Wednesday). The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Funeral home on Thursday, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Horst Aechtner officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

    RABETHGE, Laverne Carl It is with sadness that Laverne's family announces his passing, peacefully at home surrounded by their love, on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the age of 85. Laverne is the beloved husband of Dora Rabethge (nee Chambers). Loving father of Vivian Roth (David), Lorrie Karpinski, Brad Rabethge (Karen) and Patricia Malina (David). Proud grandfather of Carrie, Daniel, Katie and Victoria Roth, Jodie and Dustin Karpinski, Derrick, Brandon, Owen and Amber Rabethge and Sarah and Susannah Malina. Laverne is also survived by his sisters, Evelyn Hohl (late Stan) and Irene Cunningham (late Donald). He is fondly remembered by brothers-in-law LaVerne (June) Chambers, Bill (Hilde) Chambers and Neil (Marlene) Chambers and sister-in-law Frances (Wes) Alguire, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Ella Rabethge, sisters Elma Heimpel (late Howard), Blanche Doering (late Roy), infant sister Verna Rabethge, and his son-in-law, Alex Karpinski. Friends will be received at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Ehlebracht officiating. Following a reception in the church fellowship hall, interment will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery, Kitchener. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

    Obituary for Kenneth Eric Rabethge:

    The Gates of Heaven opened wide and Gloria welcomed Ken inside, died peacefully of a broken heart in his 94th year on Monday, April 9, 2018.
    Devoted and loving husband of the late Gloria (Schmidt) Rabethge (2017) and the late Vera (Hunter) Rabethge (1977). Beloved father of Terralene (Ron) Johnston and Sandra (Ken) MacDougall. Cherished and loving stepfather to Gloria's children, Terry Warner, Nancy (Al) Burgers, Jim Warner, Karen Hallman (Ben) and Lynette (Russ) Blackwell. Dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Ken is survived by sisters-in-law Marie Deichert, Claudine Koyich and Joanne Schmidt and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Eric and Leona Rabethge, and his brother Bobby (2007). Ken was an electrician at J.M. Schneiders until his retirement and was a member of the Waterloo Legion. Death in old age is a transition not a tragedy. Cremation has taken place.
