    A happy event took place at St. Boniface church, New Germany. on Tuesday morning, Jan. 28th, when Miss Georgina Keller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Keller of Breslau, became the bride of Mr. Edmund J. Schnurr of Guelph, second eldest son of Mrs. John Schnurr of Mildmay. Rev. Father Foerster officiated. The bride was prettily attired in cream satin with chiffon allover and hat to match. Misses Priscilla Keller and Minnie Schnurr acted as bridesmaids and Messrs. Fred Weiler and Stanley Keller acted as groomsmen. After the ceremony the wedding, folks assembled at the home of the bride's parents, where the day was spent in dancing. singing and games. After I which the happy young couple left a trip to Owen Sound and other places. The presents. received were numerous and costly. The young couple will make their future home in Guelph, where the groom has a lucrative position.

    HEIMPEL, Virginia Deloris "Dolly" - Of Kitchener, passed away peacefully, at Lanark Place Retirement Home, in the early morning, on Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, in her 81st year. She was born in Kitchener on January 17, 1920. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold in 1997. Beloved sister of Marguerite Patchett of Waterloo, Vera Kovarik, Alice Miller and Audrey Haefling, all of Kitchener; sister-in-law of Mary Schnurr of Guelph, Marie Schnurr, Delphine Schwantz and Jack Heimpel, all of Kitchener. Also survived by many nieces; nephews and their families. Daughter of the late Edmund and Georgina (Keller) Schnurr. Also predeceased by her step-mother, Louise (Wand) Schnurr; brothers, Harold and Norman and brothers-in-law, Bill, Willie, Phil and Don. Friends may call at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, 742-4481 on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-5 p.m. Prayers will be offered from the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000 at 10 a.m. followed by funeral mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener at 10: 30 a.m., Father Martin Vallely celebrant. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.

    SCHNURR, Corrine Virginia (1940 - 2012) After a long debilitating struggle with Lewy Body dementia and Parkinson's, Corrine is finally at peace. She took her last breath at Pinehaven Nursing Home on April 14, 2012 at the age of 71. She joined the School Sisters of Notre Dame at a very young age and taught at many different schools in the area, but her most fulfilling time was when she went to the Missions in Peru. After much soul searching, Corrine left the convent after 25 years and undertook the huge task of going back to school to become a Registered Massage Therapist. Anyone who had the opportunity to have her healing hands massage them, can attest to how great she was at her chosen profession. Loving sister of Therese Hummel, Kitchener, Patricia Hummel (Tom), Waterloo, Raymond Schnurr (Cheryl), Kitchener, Edward Schnurr (Margaret), Kitchener and David Schnurr (Joyce), Damascus and brother-in-law Ken Stemmler (Shirley). Dear aunt and great-aunt to several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her very good friend Marlene Waechter de Carrion. Predeceased by her parents Marie (Dorscht) (2011) and Harold Schnurr (1999), sister Marlene Stemmler (1983) and brother-in-law Irvin Hummel (1998). Special thanks to all the dedicated staff at Pinehaven who were so patient, loving and kind to Corrine, especially Barb Friesen. Corrine's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Jack Paleczny officiating with a reception to follow at the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Movement Disorders Research & Rehabilitation Centre or Parkinson Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
