    James (Bill) Schram Killed

    An employee of Date Industries Limited, Ayr, James Ernest (Bill) Schram, 47, of Hespeler, was killed on Highway 401 Friday evening. Kitchener O.P.P. said Mr. Schram apparently had car problems while driving on the highway, and had pulled his car to the side of the passing lane on the Grand River bridge. He was out of his car to flag down passing motorists when he was struck by a vehicle operated by Gerald Mitrovich of London. Mr. Schram had been employed at Date Industries for 12 years and at the time of his passing had been the cupola operator. He was predeceased by his first wife. Rose, in 1967, and is survived by his second wife, the former Pauline Morrison. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schram of RR 3, Ayr; four brothers, Lorne of Cambridge (Galt), Bert and Clarence of Ayr and Harvey of Hamilton; four sisters, Mrs. Don (Bertha) McMillan and Mrs. Ralph (Gladys) McMillan, both of RR 4, Galt, Mrs. John (Millie) Garnham and Mrs. Charles (Eileen) Beke, both of Cambridge (Galt). Funeral service was held in Hespeler on Tuesday afternoon with interment in Ayr cemetery. Pallbearers were Dave Dickson, George Wilkes, George Rutherford, Richard Rising, Roy Appleby and James Mast.

    Gladys MacMillan Obituary

    With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys MacMillan (Ayr, Ontario), who passed away on December 9, 2021 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gladys MacMillan to pay them a last tribute.

    She was predeceased by her husband Ralph MacMillan; her parents, Harry Schram and Hilda Schram; and her siblings, William (late Rose), Harvey (late Tina), Burt, Clarence, Lorne and Eileen.

    She is survived by : her sons, Wayne (Cynthia Ayres) and Mark; her grandchildren, Jessica Robbins (Tom), Quinton (Cassandra) and Alexia; her great grandchildren, Emma and Rustin; and her sister Mildred Garnham (late John Garnham). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

    Passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the age of 68. Lorne will be missed by his sisters Eileen Beke (Charles), Gladys MacMillan (the late Ralph), Mildred Garnham (John), Bertha MacMillan (the late Don) and sister-in-law Rosemarie Schram and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Harvey, Clarence, Bill and Bert and his parents Harry and Hilda. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends frien on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 1 p.m. with the service being held at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

    Clarence Schram

    Clarence Arthur Schram of Paris, formerly of RR 3, Ayr, passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, April 5th following a lengthy illness. Mr. Schram was a former employee of Malcolm Food Specialties of St. George. Dear son of Hilda Schram of Paris and the late Harry Schram. Dear brother of Harvey of Hamilton, Mrs. Bertha Mac.. Milian, Gladys (Mrs. Ralph MacMillan), Eileen (Mrs. Charles Beke), all of RR 4, Cambridge; Mildred (Mrs. John Garnham) and Lorne both of Cambridge and Bert of Branchton. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Bill. Rested at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, where funeral service was held on Saturday. Rev. Betty Shupe of Glen Morris officiated. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.
