    Mrs. Annie Devitt

    Mrs. Annie Devitt, widow of Elvah E. Devitt, formerly of Waterloo, died at the Elmira Private Hospital last night following a brief illness. She was in her 82nd year. Her husband predeceased her five years ago.

    She had resided in Elmira since last July.

    She is survived by one daughter, Gladys, Mrs. Fred Ruppel of Elmira, two sons, Blake, Cleveland, Ohio, and Reginald in England. Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive her.

    In addition she leaves two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Baetz, Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. C. T. Walmsley, Chicago.

    One daughter. Mrs. A. C. Mc-Lean, Brantford, predeceased her. Mrs. Devitt was a member of First United Church, Waterloo.

    The funeral will be held from the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel Thursday at 2 p m. Rev. A. R. Crags, Waterloo, will conduct the services assisted by Rev. W. M. B. Metcalfe. The body is resting at the funeral parlors. Interment will take place at Waterloo Mt. Hope Cemetery.

    MRS. A. C. MACLEAN

    Word has been received of the sudden passing of Mrs. A C. MacLean nee Dorothy Devitt, daughter of Mrs Annie Devitt. 79 Erb St. E., Waterloo, and the late Alvah Devitt. at her home 44 Dufferin Ave., Brantford. early yesterday morning Mrs MacLean, who was 43, was an active member of Brant Ave. United Church She received her education at the Waterloo Central. School and the K-W Collegiate, and later was employed In the office of the Mutual Life Assurance Co.

    Surviving are her husband and three children: E. Roos, who is attending Toronto University, and Donald and Carol at home. A little daughter, Phyllis, predeceased her 14 years ago. One sister. Mrs. Fred Ruppel of Elmira and two brothers, E. Blake Devitt of Cleveland Heights and F. Reginald Devitt of Foley Park, Kidderminster, England, also survive.

    The funeral service will be held from the family residence on Sunday afternoon at 2: 30 Interment will be made in Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford.
