    Notes:

    Mrs. Matilda Duench, 77, of 61 Samuel St., died Monday at her home after a brief illness.

    Born April 15, 1883, in Neustadt, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Amrell and the former Elizabeth Eckstein. She came to Kitchener 60 years ago and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Women's Missionary Society, the Ladies Aid and the Golden Age group of the church.

    Her husband, William Duench, died in 1938. There are no survivors. She was also predeceased by a sister, Mrs. Charles (Amelia) Wolfenberg.

    The body will be at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home until Thursday at 12: 30 p.m. when removal will be made to the church for service at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Dr. John Schmieder will officiate and burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

    Mrs. C. W. Wolfenberg

    After a lengthy illness, Mrs. Charles W. Wolfenberg, 65, 25 Heins Ave., died yesterday at the K-W Hospital. Born at Neustadt, her maiden name was Emilie AmrelI, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Amrell. Her marriage took place in Kitchener in 1913. Mrs. Wolfenberg was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the church.

    Surviving are her husband; one son, Walter Wolfenberg, Kitchener; one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Doris) Moogk, Kitchener, one sister, Mrs. Matilda Duench, Kitchener, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church. with Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The body will rest at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until I p.m. Wednesday. when removal will be made to the church where friends may pay their respects until time of the service.

    Passed away peacefully at home, as was her wish, on Friday, January 11, 2013, age 90. Beloved wife of the late Edwin Benjamin Moogk, who predeceased her on September 7, 2012. Mother of Carol Moogk-Soulis, her husband Ric Soulis and Mary Anne Whittington, her husband Rod. Grandmother of Neal Moogk-Soulis, Graham (Michelle Benes) Moogk-Soulis, Bethanie (Jason) Rausch, Laurelee (Erin) Farmer, Katelin (Trevor) Pfaff and Chad Whittington (fiancée Ashley). Great-grandmother to Lucan Farmer, Amelia Pfaff and Locklyn Pfaff. Predeceased by her parents, Carl William and Emilie Katherine (nee Amrell) Wolfenberg and brother, Walter (Alma) Wolfenberg.Doris was a long-time member of Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church and later Redeemer Lutheran Church. Prior to marriage, Doris worked in the office at Dominion Rubber and later at Mutual Life Insurance Company from 1973 \endash 1988. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo. The funeral service will then be held on Friday, January 18, 2013, 11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John Street West, Waterloo. Burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
