    WELLESLEY Charles Norman, 86, of Wellesley died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, following a lengthy illness.

    He was born in Lebanon and came to Canada many years ago. He operated a general store at Nithburg from 1914 to 1933, and later farmed in North Easthope until retiring in 1960.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Harriet Erb, whom he married at Stratford in 1913; seven sons, Wilfred of Downsview, Stanley and Joseph of RR 2, Wellesley, Harold and Ralph of Kitchener, Leonard of Buffalo, N.Y. and Richard of Galt: five daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Evelyn) Bassam and Mrs. Kenneth, (Mary) Salzman, both of Kitchener, Mrs. Otto (Miriam Zettel and Mrs. Albert (Violet) Stroh, both of Wellesley, Mrs. Robert (Harriet) Allinghan of Clarkson, two brothers and two sisters in Lebanon, and 36 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. One son predeceased him.

    The body is at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, where the funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

    Interment will be in Hampstead United Church cemetery. Rev. Donald Cornish of Milverton will officiate.

    Mrs. Evelyn Bassam of Kitchener, died on Sunday of last week at the age of 55.

    The former Evelyn Norman, Mrs. Bassam was born in Nithburg, Ont., and was a daughter of Mrs. Charles Norman and the late Mr. Norman. She lived in Kitchener for 37 years and worked as a practical nurse. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and of the Moose Lodge.

    Surviving, besides her mother, are three sons, Mark and Keith, both of Kitchener, and Kenneth of Rupert, Que., six brothers, Wilfred (Smoky) of Toronto, Fraser and Joseph, both of Wellesley, Harold of New Hamburg, Ralph of Kitchener, and Richard of Preston; four sisters, Mrs. Otto (Miriam) Zettel and Mrs. Albert (Violet) Stroh, both of Wellesley, Mrs, Robert (Harriet) Allinghan of Clarkson and Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Saltzman of Rexdale, and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers.

    NORMAN, Fraser Stanley -- Peacefully, on Tuesday, June 10, 1986, at University Hospital, London, Ont., Fraser Stanley Norman, of RR 2, Wellesley, Mr Norman was born in Nithburg 68 years ago. He was the beloved son of Mrs. Harriet Norman of Nithview, New Hamburg, and the late Charles Norman.

    He farmed in North Easthope township and was a truck driver with Smith Transport for many years; he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, New Hamburg Branch 532, was also a veteran of the Second World War. Beloved husband of the former Veronica (Ronnie) Freiburger of RR 2, Wellesley; dear brother of Wilfred Norman of Gormley, Ralph Norman of Kitchener, Richard Norman of Toronto, Joseph Norman of Hamilton, Miriam (Mrs. Otto Zettel) and Violet (Mrs. Albert Stroh) both of Wellesley, Harriet (Mrs. Robert Allingham) of Clarkson, Mary (Mrs. Kenneth Satzman) of Oakville.

    Predeceased by his father, Charles in 1965, also by three brothers, Rueban, Harold and Leonard, his sister Evelyn (Mrs. Alfred Bassam). Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. On Friday, June 13, prayers will be offered at the funeral home at 9: 15 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agatha RC Church at 10 a.m., Rev. Jean Tyson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

    Leonard Norman of 581 Niagara St., Tonawanda, N Y., and formerly of Wellesley, died Friday at the Rosewell Memorial Hospital, Tonawanda. He was 46.

    Born in North Easthope Township, July 26, 1922, he was a son of Mrs. Charles Norman of Wellesley and the late Mr. Norman.

    He was employed at the Trinity Tool Corp. for the past 10 years.

    One brother predeceased him.

    Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Jenny Wong, three sons and three daughters, Gail, Clare and Brenda of Kitchener and Linda, Robert and Dennis at home, six brothers, Richard of Toronto; Wilfred of Gormley, Stanley of RR 2, Wellesley, Harold of New Hamburg, Ralph of Kitchener, and Joseph of Wellesley, five sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Evelyn) Bussam of Kitchener, Mrs. Otto (Marian) Zettel of Wellesley, Mrs Robert (Harriet) Allingham of Clarkson, Mrs Albert (Violet) Stroh of Wellesley, and Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Salzman of Toronto.
